@tha_rami Honestly mastodon or fediverse in general is kinda like trillian for social media but no one seems to really want or understand that.
Not saying they're wrong for that, the idea of the fediverse may just be too complicated for most people.
People just want twitter again.

@garycutlack It's really easy to have multiple profiles on instagram

@_GlobaliD Was kind of interested in this, took a few minutes filling in details, verifying my phone number and email and then when it comes to country, UK not there, neither is Ireland. If you're not available in every country, maybe tell people upfront?

@robmanuel "Whilst we have invested significant money to benefit from exclusivity of the JRE, please note that this is entirely accidental and does not signify an endorsement or even knowledge of what the contents of the podcast is"
English

"we are not the publishers of JRE. But perception due to our exclusive license implies otherwise"
Satire sometimes can be as simple as repeating back what someone has said in an incredulous voice.

@GeorgiaShenk This seems problematic as it suggests that grey ducks are illegitimate ducks

@3BearsGayming @JKashaar About 2/3 through The Outer Wilds. Quite an experience. Reminds me of how some PC games felt in the 90s. Completely of its own calibre.

The trick is to pitch your project as web3 then pivot to actual web once you have all the money whilst demonstrating you have lost zero of the functionality and saved a bunch of money = everyone's happy
Laurie Voss@seldo
A single page web app written in web components(!) with no other framework and no accompanying mobile app has sold for $1m+, in case you're wondering how web2 is going.

@lewisl9029 @kyleshevlin IDK, I feel it's already running out of steam; good time to sell. The enthusiasm for it lasts about a month for each new player. Of course there are outliers and now the formula is out there people may come to it. What I do wonder is if NYT think they can patent the game...
English

@kyleshevlin I'm happy for the guy too! But I can't shake the feeling that 1M was a pretty lowball offer for what's become such a huge phenomenon. With the kind of traffic Wordle's getting, I imagine he'd get many multiples of that in ad revenue within a few months if he put up ads himself.
English

@kyleshevlin I don't understand what the other take could be of this. Are people really under the belief they wouldn't take the money? I'm surprised they felt they had to offer so much, there must have been a range of bidders.

A while ago, someone noticed many Epic folks weren’t verified on Twitter, and offered to introduce us to a friend at Twitter who grants blue checks. I told them to fuck off, because so long as Twitter verification is tied to favors and cronyism, I didn’t want to be a part. @jack
