As usual Bob is correct but I think it's fair to say that the industry as a whole can and will at times still do throwback designs around Darlington (you'll see a handful this year) The track and Nascar decided to shift focus towards a program around the drivers of the past and shine a light on them during Darlington weekend. No one in Nascar ever said no more throwback cars. So in summary: Throwback schemes still in play for the teams who wish to take advantage of the historic weekend that Darlington is. More focus on actual drivers and individuals who are responsible for the success of the sport over the past 75+ years.

They are not encouraging throwback schemes for Darlington this year. There will still be former drivers coming to the race, and the hope is to celebrate them. ... I'd say there was a feeling the throwbacks had run their course and just tough to keep doing ones that worked.

@glman99 @ryanpistana @DaleJr I get it, it’s a thankless job and there’s a standard to set. I just wish they weren’t so rigid and more open to discussion especially when we give them the liberty of lead time. There’s solutions where we all win.

One of problems with social media is that it rewards outrageous. It's an attention game so the more outrageous the better. So the most divisive takes from anywhere gain traction and get picked up by the other side as fuel. And the algorithm does the rest to divide us.

Was noticing this as well. Would love this view in the app. Unfortunately in the iPhone version of the app, even in landscape mode, the lap time column has been removed, which is killing me. It is present on larger tablets and web. Here are some screen shots of it in iPhone. @timclark3
