In a 1 on 1 a designer was concerned they were falling behind because they weren’t using Claude Code. This designer is using Cursor, building beautiful and highly complex, prototypes, with real data. The echo chamber feels unproductive. Build your rad things, learn, have fun!

Hey @timdaffx! Love SVG import, absolute life-saver and probably the most useful app for Webflow 💙 I often come across importing SVGs that use more than one brand color. Have you folks considered a function to scan the SVG for any color fills with the option to bind each fill to a variable before importing? I think it would be super handy! Thanks again 🙂

I saw this effect on one of @BrettFromDJ recent posts, and wanted to see if I could create something similar in @webflow using @MiyagiAgents I was able to create this whole interaction just solely from prompting! To take it a step further, it was able to update the code so that the colors in the dots would be extracted from the logo in the card. 💪

@_KyleCraven @webflow Downfalls a little harsh 😆 I won’t be going anywhere, incidents occur and there’s still nothing that comes close to Webflow as platform. Fingers crossed 🤞 this leads to performance improvements.

Very sad to see the downfall of Webflow lately. The performance issues in the designer are getting worse and it's becoming unbearable. Please @webflow focus your efforts on fixing the basics.

Thank you for the update Linda, and thanks for the Webflow folks working hard on this! Great that actual live client sites are not affected 😊
Linda Tong@YayLT

We’ve had an intermittent series of incidents that disrupted the @webflow experience for too many of you. These issues have affected site availability, slowed down the Designer and Dashboard, and in multiple cases, degraded CMS performance. Each of these incidents had different root causes, none were tied to new feature launches. But that doesn’t change the fact that taken together, they’ve damaged your trust in our reliability. And that’s unacceptable. We’re very sorry for these incidents and the disruptions they have caused. We hear your frustration, and we feel it ourselves. I’m not satisfied with where things stand and neither is our team. We are acting with urgency. Our engineering teams are deploying fixes, reinforcing our systems, and improving how we handle scale. We’ve tightened change controls and launched dedicated initiatives to improve performance across the board, especially in the CMS, which sits at the heart of so many of your workflows. Some of these improvements are already live and others are underway. But let me be clear: we know trust isn’t restored with promises. It’s earned through action. That means demonstrating focus, consistency and quality in what we deliver, and ultimately how we show up in hard moments. Webflow was built to enable teams to build without compromise. That promise only holds if our product is available, reliable, and supports you. All the time. I take that responsibility seriously, and you have my commitment that we will make this right. We take the availability of our platform very seriously. We’re committed to seeing this through, no matter how long it takes. We’ll continue sharing updates through our status page as we work toward a full resolution.

Today in @webflow - "nothing is working for me" - this is a message I got from a colleague. The dashboard was just hanging, not authenticating, perpetual loading spinner. It's not the first time it's happened. Other things I'm noticing since recent updates: - 504 bad gateway multiple times. - CMS items not always publishing when clicking publish (or at least their status is not updated in the CMS) - Toasts randomly popping up. - Site ID not found. - Cannot get comments. - Cannot get user. I genuinely love and have been using it since 2019, built 30+ sites on it. It is 100% the best DX for building front ends and the most fun to use. Foundational to the success of the platform is the core feature of being able to build and manage a website visually, and reliability. Everything else is built on this. Tonnes of shipped features (90% of which I do not use because they are targeted at enterprise) have significantly worsened the core DX I loved so much and made it extremely prone to errors. I get that AI is disrupting the industry and there's urgency to stay cutting edge. But this cannot come at the cost of the core developer experience. This is beyond opening a support ticket as it's not a single bug, more of a general instability issue. Recently on X I have seen a lot of people having similar experiences and start to ask "should I start looking for alternatives". If I was PM of the Webflow Designer I'd get all hands on deck to fix the core feature set. Here's what I'd do: - call for an immediate stop of pushing new features (I know you have a roadmap, but building 3-10 isn't beneficial unless 1-3 is solid) - look for error logs on the server and thoroughly audit the entire codebase, fix all errors and warnings. - push stable versions of all the core features - Dashboard, Designer, CMS. - thoroughly test all new features BEFORE rolling them out to production. If these bugs are not ironed out now, my experience building software tells me it will become increasingly harder to fix, maintain stability and push new features as more time passes. I genuinely hope we return to a stable version soon because I'd never had any problems and I would like to continue using Webflow to build sites. Webflow really is the best platform and I hope it continues to be. Please know that all this is said with love, respect and understanding - I know there's a lot of different stakeholders, pressure ❤️ To reiterate, I love Webflow, want to see the best for it and continue to use it as the platform on which I'm building and scaling my agency.
