Nigeria, don’t answer South Africa’s xenophobia with your own.
Several African countries — Ghana in ’69, Nigeria itself in the early 80s, Botswana, Zambia, Libya, and yes, South Africa repeatedly — have gone through short seasons of turning on fellow Africans. These waves never last. Sooner or later the same people who shouted “foreigners must go” learn the hard way that xenophobia solves nothing. It doesn’t create jobs, fix governance, or put food on the table. It only leaves deeper scars and weaker nations.
Remember: there are forces — inside and outside the continent — that profit when Africans fight one another instead of uniting. Don’t hand them the victory.
Stand firm. Protect your people without becoming what you condemn. Africa rises together or stays divided and small. Choose unity.

“Starting August 1, I Want to Announce the ‘Go BEK Movement’ for All South Africans. Every Country Should Start Banning South African Artists From Entering to Perform. Since Tyla And Other South African Artists Have Refused to Speak Out Against the Xenophobic Att@cks On Foreigners in Their Country. I Don’t Even Understand How Nigeria Is Still Playing Amapiano in Clubs While Your People Are Being K!lled in South Africa. Amapiano Should Be Banned in Nigeria and Other Countries.” ~ American Singer MsJorji

“Honestly, I Don’t Know Why Tyla Is Still Allowed to Tour Other Countries. She Shouldn’t Be Allowed to Go to Other People’s Countries and Make Money From Them When Her Own Country Says Foreigners Can’t Come There and Make Money. She Should Only Be Allowed to Tour South Africa.” ~ American Singer MsJorji
