@superTV247 If the Israel wasn’t so busy controlling the world they could put time and effort into winning. Eurovision instead of finishing second each year whilst under a complete voting judges handicap. ;)

That simply cannot be the way #Eurovision plays out every year. It can’t carry on like this and I hope the broadcasters and artists speak up even more. If there’s as much fall out now as there was after last years final, the EBU should have no choice but to do something about it.

They are removed from houses that their families have lived in for generations to make way for settlers.

I'm waiting to see what happens when @PaulineHansonOz and @OneNationAus discover that at Mount Scopus school in Burwood the Hatikvah - the national anthem of Israel - is sung at school assemblies? I know I was forced to sing God Save The Queen at primary school - the national anthem of the UK - but at the time it was also Australia’s national anthem!

More than 20% of citizens are not Jewish. Hence you are correct. People of different faiths and backgrounds can, should and do live there

If you’re referring to Israel, the Jewish people have lived there as a nation for that long. What I see from historic events is that it was Jewish people removed from Gaza in 2005 leaving only Palestinians. Was this moral?

You are avoiding my point. It's the national anthem of a foreign state. It's not just a song about heritage and religion. Many national anthems have similar lyrical content. But I'm not aware that the national anthems of Lebanon, Russia or the US, for example, are sung in any Australian schools. Imagine the outcry if a Chinese school in Sydney sang the March of the Volunteers.

Jewish schools shouldn’t be excluded from singing songs to do with thousands of years of Jewish heritage. The hatikvah is a song of the hope to have a jewish homeland.
