@OzmaOfOz2016 @FirearmsPB @theintern3tguy Nothing fell off. Looks like a bird strike during takeoff. Bird damaged the slat and dented the wing. The issue is describing it as some sort of design flaw or inspection issue. It was minor damage. The wing isn't "coming apart" as it's not the wing. Wing was fine. Relax.

The plane was flying from San Francisco to Boston when the pilot announced the news.

Just remember Italy and the Achille Lauro hijackers. US Navy intercepted the hijackers plane and diverted plane to Italy. Italy feared terrorists more than US and threatened US troops unless plane was allowed to leave. NATO

Walking away from the world in a fit of foolish isolationism would fail. We tried it in the 1930s and ended up in a World War. We don't need to be the world's policeman, but we cans sure lead coalitions to stop problems like Iranian piracy, Russian invasions and Hamas terror.

It looks like the crew laid down a blanket of firefighting foam. Unfortunately the ship looks like she’s listing slightly to starboard so the foam is running down the side.

An unconfirmed photo is circulating reportedly from the Marlin Luanda. There is no matches on reserve searches that I can find currently. Characteristics of the deck appear to match that of the vessel but it’s not 100% conclusive. I’m sure in the coming days we’ll know.

Reportedly, the KDDX advanced destroyer's overall design is finished by 'Hyundai Heavy Industries' and the construction will start in this year. Heavily armed Aegis destroyer KDX-III Batch-II(Jeongjo the Great) also launched last year and her second, third ships are under construction. KDX-III Batch-II, KDDX, FFG-III and JSS will further increase Korean Navy's potential and long range heavy strike capabilities. The KDDX contained best technologies South Korea have. Sensors(radar, sonar) are extremely powerful that can detect every aerial and underwater threats from great distance with ease. Her armaments also stunning. CIWS-II, SAAM-I, SAAM-II, SAAM-II(ABM), Redshark, C-Star, Hyunmoo-III and intimidating Ship-Launched Ballistic Missile(IV-2) will be armed in KVLS-II. SAAM-II is similar to SM-6 and SAAM-II(ABM) is somewhat similar to SM-6 and PAC-3MSE combined.
