When he was still alive, Charlie Kirk and I filed an amicus brief together at the Supreme Court due to the weaponization of government against us, to censor our social media accounts. It’s my hope this fund will pay his estate, for his children’s benefit, over what was done to us. For those who are unaware, there was a huge censorship apparatus that tried to get our accounts censored or banned and both of us had our posts censored by old Twitter ownership, at the behest of government. Christopher Nolan, responding in Time magazine this week to the avalanche of criticism over his Odyssey casting choices: "Hopefully they'll enjoy the film, even if they don't agree with everything. We had a lot of scientists complain about Interstellar. But you just don't want people to think that you took it on frivolously." He built a real seaworthy ship, shot entirely on 70mm IMAX, and spent $250 million. Is Nolan being dismissed too quickly, or did his casting choices earn the backlash?

When a federal agency tasked with protecting all Americans decides to mandate a specific religious worldview, it ceases to protect democracy and begins to threaten it.

Nolan put a weak lead in "Tenet" in 2020 because, at that time, casting a black actor was more important than casting a good one. I think he's making a similar political calculation with "The Odyssey." Trump and the GOP have so badly failed their base that the Left is all but guaranteed a return to power. And when they return, they will do so with merciless vengeance. Noaln is merely choosing to side with the likely victors. It's hideously mercenary, but not a surprise.
