@JoshuaHowsam There was never a chance that he was going to make 30 starts and pitch 150+ innings this year, even if healthy all season. He’ll make 15 starts tops and a guy like Corbin (or Lauer when everyone is back) will fill in the gaps. Look at Skenes’ rookie year

Today’s lineup should be interesting. The Jays roster is not really optimized for facing a LHP, so it’ll be nice to see how they approach it.

Well said. Too many kids have skills, but don't know how to translate them to game. Often it's a me first vs we first point of view.

@BallMechanic My kid played three years in the CPBL. During that stretch I can’t tell you how many times I said to myself “these kids aren’t learning much about how to actually win games.” They learn how to hit, and pitch, and that’s great. But how to win games? Nah.

If you're caught drinking and driving I think you should be banned from ever driving again. We need to get tougher with people. You shouldn't have anything to drink if you're driving. Alcohol is the number one factor behind preventable death, violence and illness in Canada.

Dairy, egg and other agri quotas do not ensure quality. They do ensure higher than necessary prices. These regulations are in place to ensure monopoly by those entrenched already, and exclude anyone else from starting new farms. Canada can set standard quality requirements for cross border food stuffs, which they do for every food product already. You do not need quota to set basic safety standards. You do need quotas to artificially raise prices to funnel money towards political allies. These laws are purely anti-competition from both internal and external sources. Butter should not be $7+/lb, milk should not be $7-8/4L. Eggs are bleached or washed in acids, which leech in past the shell once the protective barrier is gone, the chicken feed the government system mandates is toxic and full of chemicals at every stage, making it's way into the meat and eggs as well. These schemes put out an inferior product at inflated prices. Defending this is insane.

This is a lie - Canadian dairy standards ban steroids, which are allowed in US & we have much stricter standards about bacteria in dairy products. It’s your choice if you want to risk it, but they are definitely NOT the same. BTW tariff upper limit referred to is never reached

The Boards that chose to spend funding anywhere else then in the classrooms because of the politicalization of education by Trustees and unions? TVDSB’s entitled ex senior administrators really opened Pandora’s box giving the old boys club raises, while locked into contracts so that when the poop met the fan they were able to walk away with payouts and NDA’s, leaving lawyer fees and Ministry supervision in their wake. EQAO results should be the right of every student to have. When the unions and the Ministry can stop it being administered, (2014/2015 re: ETFO labour actions, 2020/2021 re: covid closures) a cohort of students right to know where they stand provincially is stripped. There is a cohort who wrote grade 6 only. They graduated in 2024. Fix the EQAO by all means, but be realistic, politicians did not create this problem all by themselves. Politicians can’t fix the problem alone.
