Update on Southport protest disturbance: NWAS stood down from major incident at 01:25 on Wednesday 31 July. We treated 39 patients in total, all of which were police officers. 27 were taken to hospital and 12 were treated and discharged at scene. (1/2)

The burglars smashed the key safe off the wall to get the keys, break in to the house and steal both cars off the drive - including Dad’s motorbility car. Terrifying to think that a key safe might make you vulnerable in this way but worth considering if you or loved ones have one

@KirstieMAllsopp delighted that both my children go/have been to a primary school that sets no homework. Instead they put a big emphasis on extracurricular activities and encourage membership of clubs/teams outside of school to build personal development. Homework for primary age kids = 0 benefit

It is now very wildly known that home work for under 10s has ZERO benefit. It is my greatest regret as a parent that I wasn’t stronger in my opposition to homework. Why don’t the teaching unions take a stand against it?
