@McGracing @mjyharris I wonder what path Sea Pigeon would have taken if the International programme had been available during that era. More recently I keep thinking about Collier Hill’s achievements - the opportunities are immense. Connections have an exciting few years ahead of them hopefully.

The decision is helping to protect his life. We can all make our own choices regarding risk. Horses can’t. They trust us to choose for them. It wasn’t just the number of falls, it was the nature of them. There was pattern recognition across his races that indicated a danger to his life. Connections have shown him great respect and chosen wisely. He was such a happy horse on Friday night. He really enjoyed himself and had his mojo back. I can totally see the other side of the coin but I do think it is the correct decision. The horse has to come first. #constitutionhill

It’s an honour to have been asked by Newmarket Racecourses if they can name the 2m handicap at the July Course after Dereham. He’s run in it all 4 years since its inception and has won 3 times, giving us some truly happy days. God willing he’ll be back in 2026 for ‘his race’.

@nickluck It’ll be interesting to see what the penalty structure will be for previous winners - hopefully no penalties which again might encourage a few classier types to participate - with some big international flat objectives on the horizon this could be a wider trial opportunity.

@nickluck Probably not necessary Nick but hopefully will help to encourage enough others of a high enough quality to run to make it a competitive event (assume this is what connections of CH would prefer) rather than a cakewalk.

@AtTheRaces What is so impressive about Sean is the “matter of fact” way he conducts himself. He’s not unlike Ryan Moore in that in their eyes they are simply doing what they were put on this earth to do. Their demeanour is no fluke, they are both after all the product of awesome parents!
