He had previously appeared in what would become one of his final messages before he was brutally killed. Father Pierre Al-Rahi was known among the people of his town as a spiritual guide and community figure who stood beside residents through difficult times. He believed he would be safe because he was a civilian and a man of faith. But the Israeli occupation has repeatedly targeted civilian areas and communities across southern Lebanon.
