South Arkansas knows the importance of rural hospitals and good representation. Thank goodness Rep. David Fielding has been representing Magnolia and the Southwest corner of the state. He's fought for a healthier Arkansas and our rural healthcare providers.

Well here we go. We @uamshealth have gone from 28 COVID-19 inpatients to 54 in 3 days. ED is bonkers. Thx to our great team for their hard work. Wear masks, get vaccinated, stay home as much as you can. Let’s hope this surge passes quickly.

If nothing else, I hope this year ends the debate about whether we should adequately fund @uamshealth. From leading the coronavirus response, to treating complex ailments, to training tomorrow’s doctors and nurses, UAMS makes our state better and there is simply no substitute.

Tonight the @CityLittleRock Board passed an ordinance to establish an enhanced penalty for certain misdemeanors that qualify as Hate Crimes. I want to thank Director @KathyLWebb for her leadership on this issue! Recognizing the value of everyone is important as we #UniteLR!
