Yes. tmux key bindings are fully user-assignable.
All hotkeys are defined in the tmux configuration file:
~/.tmux.conf
You change or add bindings with the bind-key (or bind) command.
1. Changing the prefix key
Default prefix is Ctrl-b. Many users change it to Ctrl-a.
set -g prefix C-a
unbind C-b
bind C-a send-prefix
2. Assigning a new key binding
Example: split the window with |.
bind | split-window -h
Example: split with -.
bind - split-window -v
3. Binding without the prefix
Use -n.
Example: switch panes with Alt+arrow:
bind -n M-Left select-pane -L
bind -n M-Right select-pane -R
bind -n M-Up select-pane -U

4. Unbinding an existing key
