Personally I’m ok with the city jock riding in, many grew up in the bush & get a big kick out of winning it

For most city jocks it’s just another ride on a big day with comparatively less prize money. Maybe there could be a 1-2kg weight concession for horses in the Final who are partnered by the same jockey who rode them in the Qualifier. 🧠⛈🤔

Country Champs is a great thing for this champs days but I must admit I am not a fan of Syd Jockeys getting a chance to ride in these races. Unless these Jockeys go to the country meeting to qualify with the horse. 500K race is life changing for these Country Trainers / Jockeys.
