@lilkamooni @EmiratesSupport @emirates From what I can gather Flights are leaving, but they are leaving with passengers who are stuck airside and unable to get through. This has happened with two different flights we were booked on.

Please make your way to the airport only if you have a confirmed flight booking, as the airport remains congested. 🎫 Customers impacted by flight cancellations should contact their booking agent, DM us, or visit emirat.es/support for rebooking. ✈️ There may still be delays to arriving and departing flights. Please check the latest flight schedules on emirat.es/flightstatus. Emirates extends our sincerest apologies to impacted customers who have experienced delays and disruption to their travel plans caused by bad weather and road conditions. We appreciate how difficult it is for everyone affected. While some customers have been able to return home or reach their destination, we are aware that many are still waiting to get on flights. Our teams are working hard to restore our scheduled operations, as well as secure accommodation and other amenities for affected customers at the airport. Our primary concern will always be the safety of our customers and crew, and this will never be compromised.

@EmiratesSupport @emirates @DXB The check in lines are in chaos and are becoming dangerous. There needs to be staff on the ground to organise. Currently only a handful of people behind the check in. It is absolutely shocking and more needs to be done to help. Please do something as a matter of urgency!

@MeredithVigh At this stage it doesn’t matter too much. It’s exists- all 70k+ of it and that is a HUGE win in my book. Well done! Celebrate this stage- celebrate every stage, regardless of how rubbish you think it might be (although I’m sure it won’t be !)

After 11yrs of writing, 7 finished ms, 2 agents & a number of ‘near miss’ subs later, I can proudly say my name is on a book. Huge thanks to @OUPPrimary #readerful for making me a happy writer. What a wonderful series to part of & such gorgeous illustrations by Omar Aranda.

@authorontheedge Absolutely,Lorraine. After a difficult writing year (2021),I stopped writing altogether… until that was harder than actually writing. So,I set out to find fun again & wrote purely for the creative process(which is all we have control over)& fell back in love with writing again😍

Seeking external validation to fix an internal issue is never actually going to work. Nor is chasing after success that you have no real control over. Writing for the creative joy of it is the only way I think.
