We talked about this in the DM, but to share my process: So to start, I have 5 monitors in my “lab” and I load up one game on each to prep it. I start with game A, and run it thru, making quick notes and looking for flashes and time stamps. Then I do the same for game two, looking for the same flashes or new ones, then onward thru game 3,4,5. Typically by the time I’m on game 4, I have a flow state of a report that covers it all. On average, I can get thru a prospect in about 45-60 mins. Typically I start watching film when I get home about 6 til midnight during the week, and then the weekends is about 8-9 hrs of film per day. I start in late March, so by the time I get to May I’m at 300 names. I also write down time stamps so I can come back later for cut ups, rather than cut and pause during the film

I’m genuinely curious how people watch four five even six prospects a day? Each full game is anywhere from 40-60 mins. With taking notes and rewinding to see what their assignment was on a given play how can you push through that much film in a day?

Efficiency in film watching is doable. The quality sacrificed trying to be hyper-efficient is another matter. The trade off of quantity vs quality is a bad approach for any one analyst. Top 25 players in your top 3 position groups with depth & detail vs a short write up about 300 prospects? I'll take my top 75.
