Tekken is (traditionally) the only mainstream fighting game that doesn't play into an arbitrary triangle system, and much more closely resembles real world combat strategy. Like, actual strategy that's been studied for millennia, not the vibes-based video game kind

Something a bit obnoxious about the sudden conversation around VF and DOA having movement is that peeps have overlooked the actual difference between these games and Tekken, which is that the appeal of VF and DOA is how they're tightly designed around their triangle systems

I cannot Korean Backdash in VF or DOA. The gameplay that I find unappealing in T8 is not fixed by playing VF. For the movement and spacing game I want to play, the next best alternative was probably SSBM. @alcratz's R.U.S.H. has taken that spot now. The 1 hour I played was the most fun I've had in FGs in forever.

@Speedkicks @firestar7o7 It's crazy because it's not even only Tekken player on it. I've shown this game to a lot of other fighting game peeps and it's such an accessible way to learn how to play Tekken at it's fundamental level without the steep learning curve of 100+ moves per character.

I hope we all realize that, for as cool as it is to see an indie 3D fighter, R.U.S.H.'s only purpose is serving as a protest by the veterans against the Tekken developers. That's all well and good, but as soon as Bandai announces a Tekken Tag 2 remaster, R.U.S.H. will disappear.

Tekken 8 patch notes template:
X is a character that excels at offence because of "Y stance" so we changed the stance slightly to make it even easier to excel than before.
In Ver 3.00.00 we added Z new move to make it easier to cover their weakness to sidestep right/left.
