@Daniel78765000 @capybaroness The goal is to WIN the game. If you are “guaranteed” to make f3 but guaranteed to LOSE when you get there, you make a move. Even if it gives you lower chance of making f3, it gives you a chance to WIN the game.

i hate to say it but the only 2 viable winners from a storytelling perspective are cirie and jonathan, which means the stakes are either my favorite players wins or my least favorite player wins

I don't want anyone to panic, but I think Jonathan has 3 jury votes on lock - Steph, Coach, & Chrissy. I also think Rick Devins has 2 - Christian and Emily. I think Cirie has Ozzy. I think Rizo has Dee. You cannot send Joe to the jury and give Jonathan a 4th vote. Cirie knows it.

I didn’t think there was an ounce of intent until @tlines2 made me look at the video closely - there’s a difference between flying open and running a fastball into someone’s back and this…this is dropping, driving and *trying* to drill him between the numbers

@Sean_W_Anderson Yeah the Judge one is a little hard to figure with it launching at the same angle and less exit velo, not clearing the batters eye, and being projected 433. Not sure how to justify that, but spin could have some effect? Overall tend to trust the ball tracking tech over my eyes

@RobertStock6 @TheRealHoz35 I’d assume he means “pure hitter” in the general sense of how that term has always been used. Bat to ball skills, using whole field, lot of line drives. Arraez, Michael Brantley, prime Tim Anderson. Doesn’t encapsulate overall offensive value though

The reason OBP is generally a better gauge of a hitter’s value is that hitting isn’t just about how good you are at making contact. It’s also about what pitches you choose not to swing at. AVG gauges the former. OBP gauges both. Both are useful. OBP tells a more detailed story.
