Dear 3D Printing Community, Many of you have watched my son Archer grow from age 3 to 5 through our video calls and shared moments. Some of you even witnessed his fascination with 3D printing and how he'd occasionally pop into my TikTok feed to talk about the moon phases. I need to share the devastating news that Archer passed away on January 29, 2025, following a car accident. I'm trying my best to recover and will return to work when I can. Your support during this time means more than I can express. Here on Twitter, we often get caught up in going viral, paid sponsorships, and creating the most innovative platforms and technologies. But remember to step away. Spend time with your family. Take those vacation days. While I’ve always prided myself on having a successful career, it pales in comparison to the emptiness in my home now. 2023 is over and as we enter 2024 it’s always good to look back and see how far we have come. I cannot put into words how humbled we are by the support this community has given. Here are some highlights from the last year; • Fully functional factory running by March • Attended 15 trade shows / events • Given the opportunity to 3D print for space • Won 3 Innovate UK grants plus 2 from Aerospace UP and IPO Access Fund • Get in deep with the UK’s military 3D printing prospects • Achieved full UK and EU compliance 🎉 • Ran 3 free workshops to introduce new companies to 3D printing • Won the She who Innovates award and runner up for the Female entrepreneur of the year (Therese) • Won the Lincolnshire 30 under 30 award (Jacob) • Danced with F1 legend Johnny Herbert • Applied for 3 Patents • And met loads of cool community members throughout Last year has been killer, and setting up a factory has not been easy. I now truly do understand what people meant when they said we were insane for trying to get into manufacturing (especially in the UK), but 1 year on, I would not trade this for anything in the world. It is rare that I get proud with stuff we do, but this, this makes me very proud with what we have accomplished. 2024 has only just started, but we have some very big plans!
