“We were terrible at Woodstock, but the situation was more than a little weird.” – @JerryGarcia
56 years ago, on Max Yasgur’s dairy farm in Bethel, New York, the Grateful Dead were scheduled to play a set during the Woodstock Music and Art Fair. An estimated 450,000 people had gathered throughout the long weekend to hear music from some of the era’s most popular acts, including Creedence Clearwater Revival, Ravi Shankar, Joan Baez, Santana, Sly and the Family Stone, The Band, The Who, Jimi Hendrix, and more.
The Dead faced a chaotic scene, with pouring rain and unstable stage conditions causing electric shocks during their performance. Despite it all, they carried on and delivered a five-song set, closing with a 40-minute rendition of “Turn On Your Love Light.”

@JellyRoll615 Is the industry behind the Internet Music Archive attack?

@WasatchSnow Kinda fun is accurate. It’s surprising how difficult it is to turn and to stop with little speed. Enjoyable on snow covered farmland, or golf course.

What's your favourite line from a Bruce song?
What is a line that makes you smile or makes you cry or simply hits you as pure poetry every time you hear it?
