With reports that she is planning her first full cookbook for early 2026, tied to her As Ever brand and Netflix series… The same woman who stored raw, uncovered chicken improperly in the fridge. The same woman who didn’t know how to use jar clamps for canning jam. The same woman who wore full jewellery while handling raw turkey. The same woman who posted a video using a waffle maker with dividers, yet presented a “homemade” waffle that looked store-bought and lacked the divider marks entirely. The same woman who barely demonstrated any real cooking in her Netflix series and hasn’t produced a single verifiable original recipe of her own. She is not a trained chef. She is not an experienced cook. She is not a food writer with a proven track record. And based on what she has publicly shown, her kitchen habits are anything but safe or professional. What she does have is PR. And PR is being used to bypass every standard that would normally qualify someone to author a culinary book. That may work in influencer culture, where aesthetics replace skill and branding replaces substance. It does not translate to legitimacy. A cookbook represents trust. Trust that the author knows what they’re doing and won’t put readers at risk. It signals an understanding of technique, safety, and responsibility. When hygiene lapses and basic food safety errors are part of the public record, that trust does not exist. This is about competence. And competence is not something you can manifest through PR.
