I built a scrollytelling prototype with content authored in MDX through @sectortools and rendered with @toastdotdev and I'm super happy with how this is now a thing I can just whip up in a day.

This script filters a file for a relevant segment, then displays it with line numbers. It is similar to code I just wrote to support better error messages for content pulled from a remote CMS in @toastdotdev by showing the segment that was causing the problem

elm-pages is jumping aboard the ES Modules, no-bundler train, as we've seen @sveltejs and @toastdotdev do recently. Tools like Snowpack give us a lot of the same features in a more lightweight way. I outline the more minimalist build philosophy here: github.com/dillonkearns/e…

@chrisdmacrae @jamstackconf yeah it's a bit like that. There's also an incremental database maintained in rust and more planned. While only the core is Rust today the future will see that core expand and eventually take over some of the JS behaviors.

@ianand @chrisbiscardi It was a few hundred in that demo. There's also a scale test that shows a Toast site with 10k pages rendering in 60s

christopherbiscardi.com has been the prototype Toast site, having been on Toast since before anyone else could use it and uses all of the data fetching features, etc.
