ON EDO STATE ELECTION: After listening to all the sides (for/against the LP/PDP candidates), & weighing every opinion on their merits, I decided to draw the attention of the Obidients. First off, I am not from Edo State, & I won’t assume to know better than Edo Obidients. However, I have asked questions & my findings confirmed that there was never a time in the History of Edo elections, that zoning took place in the state gube elections. So I don’t really know who/what brought up that idea this time. If there was zoning as many claim, then the 3 senatorial zones would have served as the governors of Edo state by now. Again, Peter Obi needs to step in & settle this matter before it spiral out of hand. Edo Obidients should be pacified & compromises should be made. The LP need Edo State badly, I can’t stress this enough. You cannot hold AI or the PDP to support a Peter Obi Campaigns; AI won’t support PO come 2027. His loyalty is first & foremost to his party, the PDP. However, the Obidients is a Movement, not a political party. Call us The Revolutionaries or a Pressure Group (if you like). We must be able to apply our pressure where necessary. It is what will stand us apart from among the crowd. The Obidient Movement recorded many defeats, but we also managed a modest reprieve. Abia state is the respite we so desperately needed. Edo could join in the celebrations as well. Edo is the heartbeat of our Movement; our center stage. We can lose elections anywhere else, but we shouldn't lose our HQ. I hope I am making some senses, without offending your sensibilities? This is not me knocking anyone down, AI is credible in his own right. But so is Olumide Akpata. Heck!! he’s been with us from the beginning. When the Buhari Incompetence was raving mad with Twitter ban, Olumide was with us. He added his voice to the #EndSARS Question, & kicked against the Social Media Bill. As the erstwhile President of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Olumide brought back a sense of a new pride & accountability in that organization. He did his duty, & Nigerians felt better & safer for it. He is competent, he is smart & available. He is youthful, energetic & someone we can work with. That means he ticks all the boxes. SO WHAT COULD POSSIBLY GO WRONG? They say “a word is enough for the wise.” But Edolites are wisemen & women, & very highly educated. Activism & revolutionary voices are not in short supply. So it makes it extremely difficult for me to even stand before them - preaching my tiny little sermon. I only hope & I do pray that they’ll heed to voices like mine. I’ve been with you from the beginning, & I’m with you still. That must count for something. I’m one of your Generals in the trenches. And until my last breath, I’ll be with you in the dugout, to keep fighting. I don’t run from a fight; a good fight! Please my Edo Warriors, I am begging you not to divide your votes. The Obidients shouldn’t repeat the Enugu mistake. People were torn between Frank Nweke Jr. & the Labour Party candidate. Peter Mba/PDP was the result. The courts affirmed the magic, & the rest is History. That mistake made by Enugu Obidients is haunting them to this day even. People played favorites & paid the price. When you support a candidate because he/she is your brother/sister, be prepared to live with the consequences. The Obidient Movement is built on Competence, Capacity & Character embodied in Peter Obi. He is the fiduciary & we are the legatees of the New Nigeria that is POssible. That possibility can/will only happen when we fight the good fights as ONE. Zoning is the same as preaching EMILOKAN, & selfish entitlements is not in our true nature. We’ve seen a lot of Emilokans post-election, & none of them will end well. Edo deserves a replica of the Abia Experience, & Alex Otti has become the poster boy of our Obidient Movement.

You people hate your fathers. Stop the "he wasn't present" BS 300 level, there was no money at home, I couldn't pay fees or lodge rent. My dad was getting depressed but tried to hide it. A few days to resumption, he and I drove to his friend's house by 8pm. The man was at a meeting, but we waited till 9/10 thereabouts. When he was done, he attended to us. I suspected the reason we were there, but it had never happened before and didn't think it would. My beloved father said to his friend: "My son will be resuming school next week. For now I don't have any money to send him back. Look at him here. Please lend me xxx amount; I'll repay as soon as I get it. He's in 300 level. He has 2 years to go." I wept inside because I had to witness my dad borrow money to send me back to school. A lot of you come to talk bullshit about your dads, about how he didn't bond and other stupid things. If your fathers had carried you to the places they went to earn, borrow or beg for money, you wouldn't say they didn't turn up for you. I understand how easy it is to fall into mummy's bosom and never crawl out. But you think provision is just dropping money in accounts and in mummy's lap? Do you know how that money was gotten? Do you know how many people didn't go to school because their father's died? Fuck bonding! Fuck being present!! All I needed from my father was being alive to provide for me. I didn't need him toiling around the house and gisting with me. Many of my friends lost their fathers at an early age. I was praying everyday for my dad to come back home. That was the only form of presence I needed. Shame on you if you become successful and abandon your father because of stupid emotional crap. Especially when you're a man.
