Channel corn plot on rotated ground showing the advantages of VT4P with RNAi technology protecting the roots in moderate diapausing NCRW pressure. Seeing at least low levels in nearly every rotated corn field I walk in.

The latest June outlooks from @NWSCPC indicate a lean toward warmer than normal and drier than normal conditions this month, overall. Of course there will be some thunderstorms at times, but at least for the next few days they will be decidedly "hit and miss". #iowaweather

8 to 14 Day Outlook for June 5th to June 11th This week will be very warm with increasing afternoon humidity. After that, changes are expected. The outlook for June 5th to 11th calls for cooler temps (more near normal) & less chances for rainfall. #iawx

No big surprise, the most cool and cloudy April in past 20 years (southeast MN). Graphs courtesy of ISU FACTS

@MIKEWPF Wasn’t any warmer today than last week but I put the plot in today regardless. 41 F soil and 41 F air temp. 85 products in 85 rows. Will be a good test to see how the next 10 days of cold and wet impacts germination and emergence

Soil temperature (38 F) and forecasted GDD’s over the next two weeks don’t look promising for corn or soybean planting in southern MN. Add in precipitation (liquid and solid) this week means soils will remain cold and wet!

4 pm soil temp barely made it over 40 degrees today in SE MN. Soils are cold! 40 F rain tomorrow will not help much. Lots of fertilizer being applied today, fortunately no planters with soils this cold

Closing the loop on this #tarspot field. Yesterday’s harvest showed a 35 bu/a difference between #Delaro treated and non treated strips (233 vs. 198 bu/a)
