The number of voices in and out of football currently saying the PL is broken grows weekly. Elite football has totally lost its way. It's being steered by people who NEED to be invested in every busted flush from VAR to countless Champions League matches. Everyone can see this

@henrywinter @Bluenose1878_ Henry that will never happen because they the reason being they are one of the protected clubs. Irony is one of the clubs that tried to destroy the league a few years ago

At some point, senior Premier League execs have to offer a proper explanation in public for their leniency towards Chelsea. They owe an explanation to fans of clubs punished more harshly. They owe an explanation to those clubs who did abide by the rules. They have to offer some explanation as to why PSR breaches are deemed far more serious than acts of "deception and concealment". Yes, these are the offences of a previous regime at Chelsea. But inconsistencies run through the PL's defence and their reputation is damaged. They can’t hide from a controversy of this magnitude.

🔵🔵CHELSEA COACH WELCOME🔵🔵 On Saturday before our game v Chelsea we will be doing our first ever coach welcome at our new home. The time and route is TBC, however we have been told that the route for this one is very small. This is due to the traffic around the Stadium. We respect this and do not want to disrupt the manager or the team’s routine before the game. 4 years ago, we done our first ever coach welcome v Chelsea, albeit in very different circumstances. It is only right that we now do our first ever coach welcome on the Mersey for this fixture too, but this time it’s for all the right reasons. Let’s make it feel and look like home. UP THE TOFFEES 🔵🔵🔵

@henrywinter Sorry it’s all farce. None of it matters for certain clubs - we saw that yesterday. It’s corrupt as it comes. Journalists will say no it’s not blah, blah. But certain clubs are protected. Masters gave the game up a couple of years back with his ‘small club’ comment.

New licensing system for the 116 clubs in Premier League, EFL and National League requires them to hold “sufficient resources” to steer them away from any potential “cliff edge”. Level of risk will be assessed on a club-by-club basis by Independent Football Regulator. From 2027/2028 season, clubs in the top five divisions will require a licence from the IFR in order to compete. Clubs need to show liquidity to meet their financial commitments and cope with "stress" such as relegation or withdrawal of owner funding. Club liquidity will be monitored on an ongoing basis by the IFR which can also impose measures such as “reducing expenditure or restructuring debt”. (Players not counted as liquid assets as “clubs cannot readily realise their value outside transfer windows”). Clubs must also show evidence of “having meaningfully consulted" with fans. “It cannot be right that so many clubs exist on a cliff edge where one change could threaten their entire existence – fans should be debating formations not finances,” says IFR CEO Richard Monks. “Our licensing regime will ensure that club risk is managed appropriately, creating a more stable environment for growth and investment.” Four “key risk factors” that IFR expects clubs to “monitor and mitigate” are... *Business Model – funding gaps between income and costs. *Liquidity & Cash flow – the ability to meet short-term financial obligations. *Solvency and Debt – risks to operating in the medium to long term. *Governance – adequacy of financial decision-making and risk management.

@SkySportsNews The fact they are discussing this shows farce. He drifted past mychlenko, by the way Arteta could have brought himself on and drifted past him. Laughable but not a surprise for a YouTube media. Played 46 mins all season. The real issue they should be calling out is Chelsea.

As a Villa fan, the Chelsea decision is baffling. £47m in undisclosed payments linked to transfers → £10.75m fine and a suspended ban. Everton go £19.5m over PSR → immediate points deduction that nearly kills their season. The Premier League says the Chelsea breaches wouldn’t have affected PSR, but the contrast in punishment still looks wildly inconsistent. More proof the Prem bends over for the Big 6 while screwing the rest of us! #AVFC #Corrupt

The @premierleague laying the foundations for Man City to be given a fine for their breaches. I wish Everton had the balls to call this out publicly. There was no sporting advantage to ours and still had points docked. Chelsea clear advantage, just get a fine. Make it make sense.

@DWil1878 @henrywinter Mate they had angel gomes down as the next Pirlo after a couple of good games. They always do this - overhype and then wonder why they fail to live it up to it. Just let the kid play he isn’t Messi or Kaka, and that is fine!

Havertz through on goal, about to shoot. Keane treads on Havertz’s foot, clearly brings him down. Pen not given, VAR should have intervened, Havertz rightly bemused. #ARSEVE
