Amerigo is also a more pure-ish play on copper price (and moly) compared to typical copper miner? GoGold at Parral in Mexico is basically breakeven ... one could argue they perform a net good by moving tailings after reprocessing to a more appropriate final disposition location. The whole benefit is probably negative still but tailings reprocessing as an industry might be worth pursuing using an integrated approach, which is just now starting to be investigated (see link). One aspect I haven't seen addressed very well is pit remediation by depositing reprocessed tailings, which could be a separate monetized benefit to incentivize reprocessing (I've discussed this possibility including with EPA staff a number of times but obviously a lot has to happen in the upper echelons before the idea could be taken seriously). sciencedirect.com/science/articl…

@truthseekeriq @ReelLifeJustin It doesn't matter if you can't actually "bury" something at the hiding location. For example, consider a granite outcrop strewn with boulders ... I'm sure you understand how something would be hidden there, and how you wouldn't find it if there were several feet of snow ...

@ReelLifeJustin Justin you seem to have created ambiguity because you said it doesn’t matter if the thing is buried if you know where to go, while also saying it’s impossible to find in snow.

I am hearing some reports that some people are searching in snowy conditions. As I've mentioned a few times, you won't have any luck if there is snow. As per the terms and conditions of the hunt, the following is strictly prohibited -- any reckless, illegal, or dangerous searching behavior, including but not limited to: searching at night, searching without appropriate safety equipment, searching in dangerous weather conditions, or searching without proper preparation for the environment. Bottom line: PLEASE DO NOT SEARCH IN THE SNOW!

@BlackAlex58 @TheNextBigRush @tombszabo @JrMiningNetwork The 3M ounces is shallow. Especially compared to the abitibi. This discovery is the UG portion that was lacking which Agnico did the JV for in 2021. It surprised me that it was at Nika. 531 was more likely to me. East Goldie discovery hole was 2000m deep $mgm.v $mgmlf

This is not a new discovery. They have been slaving away on this project for over a decade. If the stuff they found is so tasty to the nearby hungry mills, why did AE step away and why are others not chomping at the bit for a bite? I never said this is a moose pasture, only that it needs a lot more work and a lot more paper gold.

@BlackAlex58 @TheNextBigRush @tombszabo @JrMiningNetwork Also: with the Agnico back-in, there is hungry mills close, and the highway is literally going through the property. This is not some discovery 100k from civilization. This is the park avenue of Canadian mining. Just look at a map. 😎

@tombszabo @TheNextBigRush @BlackAlex58 @JrMiningNetwork Many things here…. First off: Agnico has a back-in 300 million NPV. Second: highway through property, this is not Snowline Capex. Third: all ounces are shallow, and Nika hole is massively unexpected. Fourth: Agnico mills are close. Do you even know this project?

Commentary Donald J. Trump Posts From Truth Social
Just had a very productive call with To Lam, General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam, who told me that Vietnam wants to cut their Tariffs down to ZERO if they are able to make an agreement with the U.S. I thanked him on behalf of our Country, and said I look forward to a meeting in the near future. The 3+ Moz is not gold they will mine, it is gold on paper, most of which will remain there. Perhaps we should start talking of "hard" ounces as a way of indicating the numbers that actually matter vs the "soft" fluff on paper. Even with high gold prices, much of the paper ounces will never convert because they are not connected to the larger zones or close enough to utilize the dev infrastructure and would need additional "sustaining" CAPEX exceeding the revenue from those "paper" ounces. There is probably some gold price that makes them recoverable but at that point Alex is absolutely correct that investors are usually participating a funeral march (their own) when they give them non-zero values.

@TheNextBigRush @tombszabo @JrMiningNetwork Maybe and maybe not. As I always say…..a gold project that relies on recent high gold prices to be economic is not something retail investors should invest in. Very dangerous IMO.

@TheNextBigRush @tombszabo @JrMiningNetwork Depth and grade means the deposit has to be significantly big to be economic. 5m oz is likely the bare minimum required for that to happen. Time will tell.

The ounces are just a headline, there needs to be a valid plan to mine them. The gold at this project is all over the place, you need enough in one place to pay back the dev CAPEX for mining those ounces. Plus you need to use cutoffs and create mining shapes. They get to 5 Moz headline by inferred delineation which likely won't do any of this as the quality of those additional ounces is unlikely to be higher than existing ounces. So with 5 million ounces they maybe get to a 2 million ounce mine. Maybe. And with a 2 million ounce mine you are not digging down 500 meters. For that you need more like a 4 million ounce mine. So that means about a 10 Moz headline. This is not true for every deposit, only the style they have here. Again, look at Probe with their headline ounces vs what is in a mine plan. And those deposits are way better than this. Way better and frankly still not that great, just enough good grade near surface to do the stuff I mentioned above and thus probably will be a mine. This one? Lots and lots of work left to find ounces, and plenty of luck.

@J_Wise_geology @RealKeithWeiner Very few people put in the work required to accurately analyze this stuff without bringing in their own iceberg ideology. Actually, the number is close to zero. So everybody is wrong, present company included. 🤷‍♂️

Communism is based on the simple but wrong idea that all human interaction is zero-sum. Tariffing is based on the simple but wrong idea that there's a tradeoff between consumer goods and jobs.

Hard to say at this point, depth might not be the ultimate problem as they first need an extremely large resource -- 5 Moz won't do it, they probably need closer to 10 and not junk rock but ore grade and concentration (e.g. within readonable pit shells and/or block cave footprints). Or they need to find something(s) that could independently support a mine (e.g. Probe Gold approach). Until then, meh.

There have been no major lithium battery fires involving underground mining equipment but that's probably just luck. They definitely need to develop a battery tech that isn't a fire triangle whether it uses lithium or otherwise. The current situation is a literal powder keg with a dangling fuse.
