@Hipsterdoofus71 Comparing Brands to Smith is a false equivalent — completely different results. It’s not uncommon for a new coach to get a bump. Brands won a natty in his second season at Iowa. Sustained results are harder to do. Iowa recruited Ross but he decided to go elsewhere. It happens.

@tomhalterman So then they saw the writing on the wall got rid of Smith brought in DT and now has 4 Freshman in the finals. All the while Brands cant get Ross who's from IA to stay in IA, he goes to Okie St. Why? Bc DT gets this younger group of kids more than old man Brands!
