This video is going around of a high school wrestling match that happened yesterday. One player showed clear poor sportsmanship… followed immediately by a pretty blatant cheap shot in response. Did the bad behavior ‘earn’ it? Or is a cheap shot never justified no matter what? Team Blue, Team Orange, or are both punks? Sports need passion but where’s the line? Thoughts? 👀

That's a different argument entirely. Relatively, how many boomers had the lifestyle we have today? My parents were comfortable, but not well off. I had 3 brothers and all our Christmas presents came from the catalogue. Some were secondhand. We had one 2-week holiday a year. My parents never went for a night out. Never once did they go out for a meal together, apart from when me and my brothers had left home and they started to go on occasional weekend breaks. Property prices were much lower yes, but people had far less disposable income, and they weren't spending it on tech, holidays, nights out, streaming subscriptions, internet, consoles, gaming etc. So this whole "boomers were eating burgers every day" nonsense is a complete misrepresentation of the reality.

@raven_brah No. It was a normal, once a month expense. Many folks who lived in small towns didn’t even have a McDs or other franchise. Some still don’t. Shit, my Pops even made his own pizza for us.

Boomers seem to forget that fast food used to be a normal, everyday expense for them because it was affordable. You could get a burger easily on minimum wage, it wasn’t some fancy treat you had once a year as a reward for pulling yourself up by your bootstraps.
