Co-sign!! As I routinely would remind people when I worked for @DSMcAuliffe—Yes, she’s the former First Lady of Virginia, but she’s also a lawyer, diplomat, and advocate for children and families with a track record of success in her own right.
I’m excited for the people of VA-07 to get a front row seat to her work (& ability to get shit done!).

Point of personal privilege: I’ve known @DSMcAuliffe since I was 23 years old - and for a year I spent mornings, evenings, weekends and more in her home marveling as she (at that point) navigated managing a home with five toddler-to-teenage kids (and one…bigger one).

I’ve been lucky to see @lachicamayra in action, and what’s always struck me is how rooted she is in the people and the community that shaped her.
