My wife joined the .@metpoliceuk in 1984 aged 19. She was promoted at 23 and supervised in a tough division. She loved her 31 years as a police officer. Achieving so much, I’ve nothing but respect. She’d encourage any females thinking about a career in the police to join. 👍🏼

@girasoles_lady @burble61 Using a car as a weapon means = armed. Learn some laws & educate yourself. You look silly if you think police can only justify shooting someone if that person has possession of a gun. By that logic the terrorists with bomb belts & knives were also “unarmed” when shot by UK police

The vast majority of people who would identify as black are not violent career criminals. I’d hope the only people affected by this incident are violent career criminals whatever their race.

@Lord_Lindley Where did we say that? The fact that we are supporting the Black community does not mean we don't support emergency services staff too. We have been supporters of the Blue Light programme for years, which is there to support those people. ^Jolanda
