In the past I've advocated a tax on bitcoin trades in order to reduce its massive energy consumption. But if bitcoin is going to just keep falling in price, then scratch that — it's basically cleaning up its own mess.

We need a different approach to decentralized stablecoins on ethereum. We need something that will be immediately upon launch (months not years) more popular than DAI.

the game for RAI is to achieve adoption: - with minimal ponzu - with ETH as the *only* collateral - with a novel unit of account - and with ETH L1 as the only mint RAI is playing the stablecoin game on hard mode, because we want RAI to be the hardest money on Ethereum

@ErikVoorhees @terra_money @THORChain @LFG_org The problem is that the security of terra blockchain is weak compared to ETH and BTC blockchains. The solution is to migrate to ethereum blockchain or to wait many (5+) years hoping to achive the security/decentralization of ethereum.

@fintechfrank Algorithmic stablecoins (ie stables without a central issuing party). UST is the current leader. And their development/adoption is critical, for centralized stablecoins (USDT/USDC) will be pulled toward CBDC-status inevitably.

@ameensol Just keep existing. Don't try and blitz network effects, this isn't web 2. You will always blitz worse then a scammer, but a better made project can outlast them. Just existing through the ups and downs is a costly signal of quality. People will eventually notice.
