Kevin O’Leary, who’s estimated to have a $400 Million net worth, got MAD at podcast hosts Graham & Jack after they suggested that there should be a wealth tax, explaining that people like Elon Musk deserve everything they get 😮👀 “You’re going to hell for saying that… It’s unamerican, it will destroy the fabric of the economy”

Madison Square Park is obviously great, but since I've been living here the temporary public art has so often seemed aggressively unimpressive and at times baffling.

Crazy story. A kid in Hampton just turned 20 and went from $13 in his checking account to $3M ARR in 8 months. Here's his story (shared w/permission): - Started a podcast at 15 in his closet during the pandemic and interviewed Mark Cuban - Tried an agency doing PR for founders in Jan 2025 but almost went broke, got a stomach ulcer, and flunked out of college - Pivoted into LinkedIn ghostwriting after a single post generated $80k in pipeline for a client - Hit $12k revenue in one month by cold DMing founders on LinkedIn - Moved to NYC, met a few Hampton members (Nathan May, Josh Suggs) at an event - Within 3 months grew to $70k MRR, today he’s at $3M ARR. His name is @shamusmadan and he's the youngest member of Hampton. Pretty badass.

Something I've noticed of millennials and zoomers is they take a lot of trips. This wasn't something Gen X did. You'd do a road trip now and then, sleep at a rest stop, maybe a motel. The brunch and travel stuff is a recent trend, and it adds up quickly.

Caleb Hammer and Door Dash growth is rapidly convincing me that maybe the boomers are right. Maybe, just maybe, households taking home 75k a year can actually afford a mortgage if they stopped doing this shit.

@iAnonPatriot Essentially a forced tax on high earners. I spend 6% of my income on rent. Zero way id voluntarily spend 30%, nor would anyone else above a certain threshold

Zohran Mamdani’s advisers plan for socialized housing.. “Housing will be owned by a collective and everyone will be paying 30% of their income, in order to live in their housing.” “If someone makes $0 per year, they live for free — if someone makes $500k per year, they’re paying 30% of that.” Insanity.

@Leo_Traydes Wanting “the best travel card” will involve having an Amex Amex gold is probably better for you. 4x points on food , nice signup bonuses Also just call them at the end if the first year and tell them you dont think the annual fee is worth it and they’ll waive at least part

My Girlfriend and I plan to travel a lot in our 20s What is the best travel credit card? Anything but an AMEX I refuse to pay those annual fees, at least for now I want something I can use that racks up points to the point where you can buy flights or rooms with those points

@realEstateTrent I've spoken to many 20-somethings there. They complain that the things to do over the weekends are mostly (a) work more and (b) include booze.

Been living in New York City over four years now. The most surprising thing? How badly the people who live here want to get away - on weekends, holidays, in the summer, and in the winter.

@Leo_Traydes At this stage of life, I would make my investing strategy as follows: “Spend as little time as possible worrying about the investing strategy. Index funds only. And spend as much time as possible figuring out how to make 500k + a year. Then fine tune the investing strategy”

I have learned a ton since I started investing back in February As time has gone on I’ve changed my investing style a few times and I’m considering doing so again I’ve been all over the place according to some of you (which may be true😂) so I’m looking to settle down But in all seriousness what I want to do this - Switch to focusing on maxing my Roth and buying index funds for the long term - Buy a ton of $BTC every week - Then in my taxable I want to run the wheel on some names I believe in One way or another I’m going to end up doing this I just don’t know when the time is right🤷‍♂️

@GrahamStephan $0... A little psychotic I know, and probably wouldn’t recommend anyone do this. But I have no dependants and emergencies could be paid for with my monthly cashflow, so have never seen the appeal of keeping cash.

When I was 23, I moved from Winnipeg (LCOL) to Vancouver (VHCOL), a city I knew no one and had never been to before. I applied to a sketchy job offering 200k on CRAIGSLIST. I got an interview, which was near the airport and a shared office over a spice manufacturer. They told me I could make 200k, but it was 100% commission. No draw. Not an employee. No tools. Bring your phone and laptop, you can start Monday. This is how stupid I was. Never lived on my own before. Moved in with my GF (now wife). Insane risk. Went negative 3 months in. Gained 20 lbs. Stressed AF Didn’t care. The aggressive commission structure allowed me to make 200k at 23. Quit that company 1 year later and started my own. Which has been running for 9 years and has allowed me to make millions every year. In hindsight, a decision most would consider dumb and destined to fail… Turned out to be the best decision I could’ve made.
Blake Rocha@MrFourToEight

“If you’re so smart, why aren’t you rich?” Getting rich requires risk. Taking risks requires stupidity to the degree that you actually believe you could pull it off. Logical thinkers and "high IQ" people overthink things to actually take those risks.

This is the logical conclusion of making sports betting so widespread and integrated into the game. It’s impossible to not have some players get caught up in it.
