Remember that lie they told us about LED light bulbs lasting basically forever? These junk bulbs don't last any longer than incandescent bulbs. If you film them, you see that they constantly flicker which is horrible for your eyes. We have to get back to incandescent bulbs now!

@TrentAshbyTX @DanPatrick As usual, a lot of words that don't really say anything. The only "action" plan in this list is to consider reducing the currently over 65 homestead exemption age to 55. Everything else is just "assess and identify". Isn't that what you should already be doing?

If you’re a storm chaser/weather enthusiast that lives somewhere not in the Southeast without pine trees and live oaks don’t try to explain to me or anyone else how a multi-day freezing rain event won’t be anything short of an absolutely catastrophic weather event. In 2014, my Dad lost power for over a week in Aiken County, SC and our governor at the time compared the damage from that 1.2” ice storm to that of Cat 4 Hurricane Hugo in 1989. The 2014 event was considered to be a generational event and virtually every road was impassable. Now fast coward to 2026. We still have tons of trees that were weakened by Helene that are still standing. I’m just putting it out there now, you ain’t storm chasing in an ice storm of that magnitude in this jungle. Let alone something that brings 1.5” of ice or more. You won’t have a chain saw big enough or enough grip with a tow strap to move fallen mature pines and live oaks. I highly encourage you to just do some light googling of the 2014 Ice Storm in SC/GA and its impacts it brought to us here. Afterwards you might change your tune on what “catastrophic” means and looks like.

Question for GenX ladies… What was that perfume you wore as teens in 1985-90? Floral and sweet…smelled like spring…remember it from high school dances but never knew what it was…whatever it was it should make a comeback.

Husqvarna sent me a stack of chainsaws to give away because a bear stole mine & Internet went wild. I’m adding a 4 day/3 nt stay to my Smoky Mtn cabin. (Side by side tours, meet Jimmy & me, see old moonshine stills, crazy views). To enter (100% free, no purchase necessary): 1) Follow @BowTiedBroke 2) Comment on THIS post with literally anything (tag friends = extra luck with the dartboard later 👀) Contest runs exactly 24 hours —-> closes tomorrow at 10:00 AM EST At close, @grok will instantly pick 20 random commenters with accounts older than 3 months. Then, I put those 20 names on a dartboard, film one throw, and THAT person wins everything. No bots, no BS, fully transparent. Grok posts the 20 here, the dart decides destiny 🎯 Sorry international followers (not that I have that many) U.S. followers only for this one. Cabin is in Tennessee, chainsaws are heavy, and bears don’t do passports. Let’s go! Drop a reply and let’s see who the Chainsaw stealing bear chooses.

Tom Brady discussed the media criticism he faced after the Buccaneers lost to the Saints in Week 15. “I just look at the T.V. and I go like this,” Brady said, holding up two middle fingers. “‘F--- you guys, f--- you, T.V.’” “You block out the noise, because none of it matters.”

@TrentAshbyTX what actions are YOU taking to bring a voice to those of us in the southern end of Angelina County without power? Who are you representing? The actions being taken should be criminal & we expect better representation from our elected officials!
