@Chiclanagirl I donate my entire MP salary to worthy causes in my constituency. I don't get a penny of it. There have been 17 monthly donations so far and I will continue to donate for as long as I'm an MP. I made a promise during the campaign to my constituents. I am keeping that promise.

From what he’s just said in the White House Donald Trump seems to think we’re selling the Chagos Islands to Mauritius (‘do the Brits need the money?’). Of course the UK is surrendering sovereignty AND paying Mauritius up to £34 billion over the next 100 years to lease back the islands, in what must be the worst deal any government has made in modern times. You own something that nobody can take from you (whatever international lawyers say). You give it away to a country of which it has never been a part. Then you pay billions to lease it back. Bonkers

This is Eva’s tweet that caused Starmer to revoke her visa to visit the UK. Starmer tells the world we are very proud of our history of Free Speech in the UK, unless you use it to criticise him or his Government ?
Eva Vlaardingerbroek@EvaVlaar

Keir Starmer wants to crack down on X under the pretense of “women’s safety”, whilst he’s the one allowing the ongoing rape and killing of British girls by migrant rape gangs. Evil, despicable man.

Why must we lose the option to turn off timeline images and video previews? It's horrible and cluttered now. Please @X restore the experience which has been fine for 16 years. Now it's horrible.

Keir Starmer claims Nigel Farage is to blame for the boat people because Brexit took us out of the Dublin Convention (in 2020), which allowed us to return asylum seekers to the EU countries from whence they came. The PM is either ignorant of the facts — or knowingly lying. Neither is a good look. The Dublin Convention was a two-way street for asylum seekers. Yes, we could try to return them. But others could also be returned to us. As a result the Dublin Agreement actually made us a net recipient of asylum seekers. Take 2018. We made 5,500 requests for asylum seekers to be returned. Only 209 transfers were agreed. In the same year, under the same convention we accepted 1,215 asylum seekers. So we were net recipients by over 1,000. The Dublin Convention did nothing to make it easier to return asylum seekers. Nearly all politicians are cavalier with the truth when it suits them. But Starmer is taking this to a new level.

I had a Tesco delivery this afternoon, the driver said, " I've got a couple of substitutions for you, here's your rosemary and haddock". I said, "this is neither the thyme or the plaice".

We have immense leverage over countries like Pakistan. USE IT. Force them to accept their deported illegals and criminals. Foreign aid, gone. Diplomatic ties, cut. Remittances, taxed. Tariffs, enforced. Visas, suspended. We have the power. I say let's use it.

I read in the Telegraph that Britain relies on TWICE as many foreign doctors/nurses as other Western countries. This is happening when British youngsters struggle to find training places, and then even when qualified can't find work. Insane. It is just absolutely insane. Our system is so open to abuse, many foreign 'professionals' can't speak English properly and have questionable qualifications - simply not to the standard we expect, and often from countries where fraud is utterly rife. Can we always trust their paperwork? I think not. Our establishment seems so desperate for Britain to continue getting hooked on the mass immigration drug. We have thousands and thousands of talented boys and girls who want to train to be a doctor, nurse or whatever else. We're saying no, and then importing Nigerians to replace them. What a shit idea that is. Slash immigration, train our own people and let's try and build some self-sufficiency. PLEASE.
