I’ve indicated a number of times that I do a bit of leaflet delivery and canvassing. It’s good exercise, in the fresh air, and I get to meet some interesting people and occasionally, I fix their problems. /1

Tommy Robinson deleted this Tweet, as it accidentally had his lawyer telling him in the bottom right corner that he will no longer represent him. You know what to do.

A later than usual appointment in the Blood Donor Unit at Southmead. And today was a little bit different. Today I donated my 501st unit of blood! The wall plaque commemorating the opening of the unit #givebloodnhs

@ScotNational @robdarneyno1 I was a paper candidate. The election agent had an online conversation with me, followed by a similar meeting with local branch exec. I provided photos & bios for leaflets. I also turned up for all the hustings I could, and I responded to about 500 email enquiries from voters.

'They're paper candidates, yes' 🗳️ Come with us we attempt to track down Reform UK's mysterious ghost candidates in Glasgow ... and end up with some pretty honest answers.

Just mentioned on #PoliticsLive that tomorrow before the new MPs get sworn in they’ll elect a speaker first. So is that just a box tick or will Hoyle be replaced? It will need to be a Tory but there must be a half decent one left & willing… 🤔

@edwinhayward @PaulAllenSK1 Assuming that the media do actually do that. I suspect that we'll just see even more of Farage, and the Tories will appear twice as often as the Liberal Democrats. And I will be complaining to the media almost ever day.

@PaulAllenSK1 You overestimate the power of a third-placed party. They'd be robbed of their normal media platform. Every political news panel has representatives of the two main parties. Other parties rarely get a look in. With no platform or clout, why would donors keep funding them?

Two futures: 1. Labour in power, Tories in Opposition, and 5 years of endless culture wars and immigrant-bashing. 2. Labour in power, LibDems in Opposition, Tories fuming powerless and voiceless on the back benches. It's your choice. Tactical voting can still make it happen.
Edwin Hayward@edwinhayward

🧵 If the Tories come third, it changes everything. Coming second would allow them to rebuild as the official Opposition. But third place should finish them. It may take time, but they'd be walking dead. It would also put Brexit back on the agenda, at last. Here's why: 1/14

@hendopolis I could go out in the middle of London, select 10 people at random, and the odds are very good that one of them would have been better than Johnson.

How about? 1.Sovereignty 2.Immigration Control 3.Economic Independence 4.Regulatory Flexibility 5.Financial Contributions 6.National Identity Why do you think the rest of Europe is waking up to the poor decisions they made. We just have weak politicians who pander to minorities for votes or don’t value their country to make the best of it.

@mikegalsworthy @MaryP58 I've never liked Bill Cash. This article is utter lunacy; what "incredible successes"? He is one of the group of people that I wouldn't trust to tell me the correct time of day.

“Brexit is a success, not a failure” says Bill Cash - who wants us to remember how good we’ve all had it since Brexit. In his own fantasy world, maybe - but certainly not for the country that he and his fellow arch-Brexiters so badly misled.
