@ArmandolBarrios Mostly I just authentically modulated raw waveforms in Logic for the most part, but I’ve also used Plogue’s Chipsynth AU plugins for a lot of 16-bit music. They’re worth checking out if you’re wanting something more authentic from the 90’s era of gaming 😊

@ExplodedFour Their dream situation is using AI for cheap concept art, AI for textures and eventually models, another layer of AI to smother on the slop to make it look “impressive” and even have AI do most of the programming. Leaving game devs to “tidy up” the mess. It’s bleak 😕

@ExplodedFour I just worry what the CEOs and shareholders may do to further strip our industry of creativity and expression. They’re quick to shut down entire teams and if they can “cut more corners” for profit I think it’ll come at the expense of the creatives who make the games worth playing

CEOs & shareholders just got the go ahead to push harder for this in all upscaling software, and that means 3D artists are gonna be out of the job if you can use way less of them on a project, make them churn out worse art, with CEOs & shareholders thinking DLSS 5 will “fix” it

@torrybobs Music will be done later. We actually would like to add some more ambient versions of the music to fill out the completely silent parts which there are many in the original game.

A small update on the ongoing The Secret of Monkey Island project on the Commodore 64 in collaboration with with Andreas Larsson
