In case anyone doubted the player’s well being has been at the center of this the entire time for Texas Tech. Meanwhile, the school is getting dragged through the mud despite ruling him ineligible, not being involved in the litigation, and not being aware of the gambling like Cincinnati was when he played for them. Be mad at the judge or the NCAA or whatever, but Texas Tech has done the right thing at every turn.

I think it is inevitable CFB is headed towards 2 Super Conferences. To which, Texas Tech had done a fantastic job positioning themselves for inclusion. Folks nationwide are talking about TTU for the first time in their program's history. Kudos to the staff and admin for that. However, given their shameless handling of the Sorsby scandal, why would either conference or their constituents be eager to extend an invitation to Tech, knowing there is no concerted effort towards being a collaborative partner in a conference. All of the hard work to be on the doorstep of consistent national relevancy has been undone.

Part of addiction recovery is accountability. By allowing him to play, he is not being accountable for his behavior. Allowing him to return to an environment that actively promotes his addiction is not supporting his recovery.
