Strong agree, but the original post concerns the collapse in the values of London flats. Leasehold means service charges of thousands of pounds a year. Old freehold houses weathering the economic headwinds. Biggest gap between house and flat prices in 30 years.

Request clarification of why the decision to abolish leasehold has been withdrawn & why Harry has been excluded from engaging on our behalf!

@cagey_optimist I can only reiterate what I’ve said previously. We are not abolishing leasehold outright (i.e terminating c.5 million leases overnight). Instead, we’re ending the system in this Parliament by making Commonhold the default tenure and giving existing leaseholders a clear route out.
