@cbcwatcher @nenshi He's trying to build a narrative of Smith and UCP bad. This is an interesting take because, he's only offer made up conspiracies to paint her in a bad light. Offering nothing in positive approach to Alberta's success He's more concerned with image than the hard work of government

Could someone remind Nenshi about the two and a half year Supply and Confidence Agreement Jagmeet Singh cut with Justin Trudeau? And how it helped the Party? @nenshi

Alberta threatening to leave Canada isn't the real danger. The threat lies in normalizing provincial secession when challenges arise. This sets a dangerous precedent, especially now, with global affairs at their most volatile in decades. We need unity, not division.

@ryangerritsen Was Kinew is being an obvious ass here. Certainly behavior unbecoming of a Premier. My question is, what is with the Speaker? Besides one faint "order", nothing? Restore order to that house Speaker. Name the Premier and eject him. The whole thing is just weird, man 😕

Listen to how Wab Kinew was acting on May 19th in the Manitoba Legislature. He was making dog growling noises, multiple cackling laughs, he when asked if he could stop he says no. Who these people are in front of Cameras are not who they are in real life.

@globalnews Did they get our memo about catalysing things? The stuff about ruptures, and divided though? Will they accept our best intentions? We've spent a lot of money with some best intentions, just wondering if that moves the needle.

@MelissaLMRogers Of course Carney wants to sell airports With this kind of security issue it may be prudent to shift liability away from the government 🙄 Much easier than government doing their actual jobs

@wealthmoose Double like 👍 For years we've posed the question of how do taxes change the climate... They dont. They create a market out of nowhere. The Carbon taxes are to establish a price for carbon For a market A market that doesn't exist Until our money is used.

I put in a heat pump two years ago and my local utility wouldn’t give me another 200 amp panel in my garage/apartment because they didn’t have transformer capacity. So, tell me, how is everyone switching to electric when they don’t have the power supply.

@AmazingZoltan The David Eby pipeline naming convention is an obvious winner. 👍 We dont even need a government to approve naming. We can do it through the zeitgeist Just whenever your speaking of a new Alberta Pipeline, also called the David Eby Pipeline to the West. Add a few more characters

HAPPENING NOW: Eby renames Site C Damn after ex-Premier John Horgan. Horgan opposed the project, including being photographed in 2012 with a sign reading "Site C Sucks." In the same tradition, I wonder if one day we will see a "David Eby pipeline" stretching across the province.

@sarobertson_ "Low Risk" is from Canadian tax payers being responsible for the fund the Carney Government intends to borrow to finance. His intention is to shift the risk onto the Canadian tax payers Haven't we endured enough Liberal bad deals yet? How are those battery plants we funded doing?

@mario4thenorth @NorthrnPrspectv For years it has been why carbon tax, taxes dont change the climate. This is why carbon tax. So they can quantify CO2 with a dollar value. So they can force the creation of a "Carbon Market" So they can sell carbon offsets. He's PM to make Canada create a market... for him

Jasmin is right. @NorthrnPrspectv put out an unbelievable report yesterday: -2018: Trudeau government commits $400M to the International Finance Corporation (IFC) for “blended climate finance” -2023: Mark Carney sits on the IFC advisory panel that publishes a report calling for “public subsidies” to de-risk private clean energy investment -2024/2025: IFC announces $105M for a Brookfield solar project in India. And $100M (plus $75M co-investment envelope) into Brookfield’s Catalytic Transition Fund. Carney is Chairman of Brookfield -2026: Carney announces the Sovereign Debt Fund He’s now cutting the cheques. And we don’t know his holdings either. Everything they told you was a conspiracy theory, is objectively true. He’s going to de-risk private investments, with taxpayers being on the hook. He’s the most conflicted PM in Canadian history.
Jasmin Laine@JasminLaine_

The more research you do into Mark Carney (and his wife’s) decades long career in influencing markets… manufacturing crisis, and getting rich off of the end result—the more I’m beginning to think he is the Green Goblin of Canada.

Hot take: The United States doesn't actually protect Canada from anyone, & the idea that we're under some kind of special "American security umbrella" is coercive nonsense. European NATO allies would sooner help us out of good will than the US, for whom goodwill is not a factor.

There's no argument - Lukaszuk is just lying. He repeatedly said he wanted a referendum, including in his application. (See 🟡) It's true he ticked Legislative/Policy, not Constitutional Referendum. (See 🟢) But the law allowed referenda under both categories! (See 🔴)
