@AaronrHughes Good to see the price is not exorbitant on middle relievers. They will be for the upper echelon guys but these last two deals make me feel better than we will be able to fill all 3 holes.

@JohnMappin They’ll be pardoned. That’ll give us the answer but won’t give Charlie or his kids the justice they deserve.

In this clip @baroncoleman explains new information that lays out the reasons why the decordicate posturing exhibited by Charlie Kirk after he was hit, is wholly inconsistent with the complete spinal severing indicated in the medical examiner’s report. As he states, this is a tremendous blow to their story

@GoldyHappens I know they’re interested (they wanted him in off season) and is exactly the type of move Hazen prefers for pitching.

I’d trade it all for Hunter Greene. That contract is INCREDIBLE. Only about $3M due ROS, fits in #DBacks 6-7M cap space situation. Get a Nate Lowe rental in it too? That drastically moves the needle.

There will be a lot of this ⬆️ this deadline. The publications have gotten so bad; top 100-125 guys in the industry are not even showing up on team top 30-50 publications. Why? Layoffs of staff have degraded the ability to cover these guys + echo chambers create a rat race to the bottom.

Just talked to John Mozeliak. He thinks Arredondo is better than the publications have rated him. He says he should be in the Angels top 10 prospects. More to come

This is why you don’t start a war without clearly defining your desired end state, outlining how that end state will be achieved, anticipating how the enemy will react, & specifying the metrics by which you’ll know you’ve achieved the end state. Otherwise, you will inevitably end up with what we have now—a bombing campaign in search of a strategy.

BREAKING: Trump exploded and lost his temper during a security meeting, shouting and cursing out of frustration over the military options presented to him and the lack of progress toward a deal with Iran, per NBC News. A US official adds "after all this time, there is no unity" inside the administration, which is "facing a strategic defeat without clear policy guidance or a decision about where this is going." An ally close to Trump adds the president is "exasperated" and there was "not a real strategy for how long or what they should do."

Get ready for the “We made some big acquisitions at the deadline, we acquired Corbin Burnes, Justin Martinez, Jordan Lawlar and Michael Soroka” comment from Mike on Monday
John Gambadoro@Gambo987

Ok let's cut to the chase. If you are expecting the Diamondbacks to be big buyers at the deadline and go get a bat, starting pitcher and closer you will be extremely disappointed. They will absolutely rely more on the quality players coming back from injury like Justin Martinez, Michael Soroka, Jordan Lawlar and Corbin Burnes then trade deadline acquisitions. For one there is not a game-changing bat in the market. But more importantly because of a record payroll the Diamondbacks are only 6-7 million UNDER the penalty! The Diamondbacks, like the Suns not going into the second apron, will absolutely not go over the luxury tax. It would cost them somewhere around $30 million to go over and not qualify for the money the 8-9 luxury tax teams are paying with redistribution. I have mentioned possibly being a buyer and seller and that could help. But just know if you add a player whose salary is 10 million for this season ALL 10 million counts against the competitive balance tax not the portion the acquiring team would have be required to pay. So, barring a trade that would free up money I just cannot see them adding any player making over 6-7 million UNLESS they move out some other salary. The good news is they do expect to get some very key/important players back for the final 4-6 weeks of the season.

I’m actually going to be so mad if the Angels have an absurd asking price for Neto because how does a 26-year-old reliever with these metrics not even net a top 30 prospect? And that’s without even mentioning Ohoppe

@BT90 @Gambo987 Very. 2 years left (one in doubt with lock out). Doubt they resign off career year. They have Chaparro and guy in AAA at 1B that better fit their timeline. I’d think they’d be after pitching prospects in return.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has previously said the U.S.-Israel relationship is a "wall of granite," but recent polls show that American support for Israel has cracks in it. Netanyahu pointed to the rise of social media and bot farms as a potential culprit.

Only way to offset salaries to dump Gallen or Gurriel is for rental from big market club. Will require premium prospect package on top of that but no team is taking on those as is. They wouldn’t even taken them if we paid down half their salaries. Think Holmes/Peralta or Gausman for Gallen or Gurriel (+ cash) + prospect package. Garcia, Burleson, Lowe would be prospect only. Same with reliever.
