@AuricGoldfnger @VandyBoys Donny had all the tools to develop into a truly special player. He also struck me as a great kid. Poster boy for the program. One of the memories I have of the ‘19 title game is Donny’s family celebrating with the team. They seem like gold plated people.

On this date 10 years ago...the @VandyBoys' Donny Everett's final pitch of the game was a fastball clocked at 101 mph in the 9th inning of a 7-0 win versus Missouri in the SEC Tournament in Hoover. A few days later, on June 2, Everett passed away in a tragic drowning accident, the day before the start of NCAA tournament regionals. For several years after, the SEC honored Everett with the number "101" in the corner of the videoboard at the Hoover Met. May his memory be a continued blessing to all who knew and loved him.

@AuricGoldfnger Same, the guy is the best. Eli also holds 2 masters degrees from Vanderbilt with the Chancellor personally praising his academic achievements. Eli is exhibit A for the model student athlete at Vanderbilt.

Eli Stowers will forever be one of my favorite Commodores of all time. The fact that he transformed himself from a QB to an NFL TE is an incredible testament to his work ethic. He was part of VU teams that won 17 games in two seasons. And on top of that, he's a really good human by all accounts. I think the Eagles are a great landing spot. Go do great things in Philadelphia, Eli. #AnchorDown

@LukeSarrisUCF The only game I have seen UCF play was against Vanderbilt. It was early but that win gave me confidence that Vanderbilt is really good b/c UCF looked like they can certainly play.

Incredible start to the season by UCF basketball as they improve to 12-1 and start conference play with a win over #17 Kansas. They already had P4 wins over Texas A&M and Pitt and their only loss came to #11 Vanderbilt, who is undefeated. Johnny Dawkins is cooking up something special in Orlando.

If physicality is needed for Adam Aznou, and getting to grips with big fast wingers Is Ajax the right move? That would be my question Eredivisie did wonders for Branthwaite, but not sure it’s what Aznou needs Food for thought

@vandy_62 No, they can't. Every SEC school outside of VU has an ecosystem that revolves around sports. Academics are an afterthought. If the only elite academic institution in the SEC can beat them in the only thing they have, then they have nothing.

Can they once be happy for Vanderbilt? What Clark Lea accomplished is nothing but spectacular.

Thought it helped Villa in doubling Jack and made it harder for him to create chances

@Richlloyd1984 He was brilliant but was never a goal threat and little came from the right side of the pitch. Combined with a more defensive RB, it’s turned him effectively into a winger. It’s not getting the best out of him at all. Moyes has to be willing to move him more central at times.

@RyanSoccerAA It’s rarely good but I thought he was particularly inconsistent today.
