@efctruth20802 Yep yep & yep Correct, your last point is very underrated & will be missed amongst the fume later I thought he’d have had a shout with Reece James injury but you look at it & see Trent/Livramento both available

@kingkhan225 You say it about any team on the planet it ends in negative outcome Can flip that “who is the worst …” in any debate football related & it turns to clickbaity nonsense

@Progression1878 Exactly. Usually in these instances I say nothing because to your point Progression, similar to the Barry issue, everyone comes out bad. This one is more external given it’s outside the club and don’t appreciate our own fans piling on two players that have helped us be in 8th.

@MrBoogerstrom @efctruth20802 Good way of saying it I’m not sure corruption, but are they more lenient on punishments for others By the sounds of it, all be it not same rule breaking but a lot of people seem to think this is blatant cheating from say a Chelsea & to settle that easy is odd

@efctruth20802 I don’t think so either. I do think it’s complete bull shit though. I’m almost now at a point where I’m unmotivated to even argue against it because part of me thinks “what’s the point?” Is there a word for it that you can accurately describe it as though would you say?

@lukeWilko1878 Ah interesting See he’s been given the 10 tonight, just with youth football usually given by position is he bit higher than usual?

@ollie_shapiro @efctruth20802 @terry__smith club should always be planning panning for future, planning for unexpected events, planning for worst case scenarios & best i wouldn't be actively looking for it, however it's never an easy feeling spending big sums early in a rebuild for a manager with 12mths left

People have an image of where we should be now based on unrealistic expectations. Our strategy is analogous to a newly promoted team, safety & consolidation as an established top half team being priorities. We are Brentford atmo, which is exactly where we are - bang on target.
patricridge@PatricRidge

@RyanSoccerAA @baker_jeremiah Status quo is fine for a bit. They do need to align on strategy moving forward, and wouldn’t be rushing to give DM a new deal yet either. But given state of squad turnaround last year, it’s not a bad first full season at all, regardless of run-in, really.

@efctruth20802 @ollie_shapiro @terry__smith if the man they see as future post Moyes is available this summer or (like any position in football) you see a good upgrade that fits in your long term strategy then fine go for it if they part ways with Moyes then spent 2 weeks doing a manager search i think that's very poor

@ollie_shapiro @terry__smith @efctruth20802 there 2 ways of looking at it 1. you don't want to run before you walk safely, Moyes i think is good man to build said platform short term whilst you balance out because he's basically a certainty of mid-table min 2. recruitment balance maybe becomes skewed for now

@terry__smith @Progression1878 @efctruth20802 I think we both want the same thing which is long term sustainability over immediate results. My concern is that Moyes is antithetical to that in every way apart from points on the board, which is just one of many pillars. Apologies if I've misunderstood.

@terry__smith @efctruth20802 exactly that, and how you put it is exactly how i think 1-3yrs is getting the house in order & building the platform to push further it's a really difficult balance when talking manager/squad building these first couple think as we're seeing in first window reviews

@Progression1878 @efctruth20802 Sustainability is THE crucial thing if the goal is regular CL football. This season has been filling in the Dock, and Moyes has almost met his part in our long-term rebuilding.

@MrBoogerstrom probably just about showing support mate no offence to Aznou meant here either, but Gana/Ndiaye were also actually playing the tournament etc of course it's his country involved but not sure he needs that much support over it, just my 2 pence haha!

@efctruth20802 @terry__smith agree with you both, there's more to the future than just this & the next 2 seasons they've been presented with an unlikely chance at European football this season, which obviously be great if they can take! but as Terry says above all about building blocks for sustainability

@terry__smith We are performing “bang on target” But if Moyes really wants to sign Grealish, Stones etc then serious questions need to be asked about what the future looks like.

I don't disagree that if Everton let Keane walk, that Stones doesn't make sense from a functional standpoint as he can play CB & DM, but I cannot imagine his cost will justify the benefit. This also assumes Moyes is still at Everton, which means Grealish will be as well.
Harry Watkinson@HJWatkinson

Everton keen on reunion with John Stones, set to be available on a free transfer. 31y/o Man City defender understood to be open to potential #EFC return but will have many options this summer. One to watch. W/ @GraemeBailey @TEAMtalk ⤵️ teamtalk.com/everton/john-s…

Brentford only have themselves to blame here. Been really poor this half & Wolves had far too much space. Great wee header that though

@PatricRidge @elpivoteftbl @SteveKelly86 @CharlieBarnicle That’s my point though young Moyes I think was happy to do it knowing he’s trying to build something, but also as Piv says it was also down to necessity at times Old man Moyes (Sorry David) doesn’t have that now, he knows he not here long so why bother (and that’s fair for him)
