When remote learning was necessary for all, DECEs were online with their class. EAs and CYWs were online to support students. Office staff were working to help parents. We cannot simply pivot to synchronous remote learning without them. Schools cannot run without CUPE. #onted

Question for synchronous learning this week. After we take attendance, who is going to make all the phone calls to families of children who are marked 'absent'? Office staff usually do that and it's done to ensure the safety of our students. #onted

@XjusticeXpeace I was unable to book as I live and work in @YorkRegionGovt . Was told when called hereto connect with #accessyork number to then be told that teachers, even those with letters who have been prioritized are not eligible due to supply?? Any other YR teachers having the same issue?
