@legendairies01 Should be fine with slotting. A good heavy spade and smacking a cross in the ground so it’s open enough should do it. Eucalyptus grows like wildfire so it’ll be away. Assume it’s in a ~100mm rootball sorta tray? 50 or 64 a tray?

We are about to plant some eucalyptus about 60cm high. Can we get away with slotting the holes or need to dig holes? What’s your thoughts @ktuluadam

@AniekaNick @Faanfairlane A few weeks before calving. We got them from the vets. Partially the older and fatter late calving ladies. The pellets you are using are are a great idea. We also use the calcium bolus after caving, they are great.

@tracyheale @Faanfairlane We calcium bolus after calving but mag bolus would be good too. Where do you get them and how close to calving do you give them?

Keeping the last cows left to calf standing 🤞. High magnesium pellets and some salt.

@AniekaNick @Faanfairlane We are using mag bullets in our last calvers this year. Hopefully it saves them all!!

@Faanfairlane No we do no dusting at all they go through milkshed daily and get prills through inshed feeding. If weather is bad we put a bag of mag over top of silage.

@m_herbert @Evo_Farming Some of ours do 3,1 - 7,3 some do 2,5 - 2,5 they do what suits them! They all get a weekend off a fortnight. We have two days everyone is on for team meeting.

For the first time in six months we are now fully staffed with some spare capacity…thinking about possibly moving away from the traditional dairy 12/2 rota any suggestions?
