Following the disgusting comments on @BBCRadio4 today from Martin Tyler, we advise as many as possible to put a formal complaint in to BBC Radio 4. Its the only way anyone will listen

@BBCr4today this needs correcting immediately. Martin Tyler must apologise, his dislike for Liverpool is no secret but this is disgusting

"Hillsborough and OTHER hooligan related incidents" Exceptionally crass comments from Martin Tyler on @BBCr4today - a man who should know much better. Even now, people whose careers are built on football still spread these foul smears. I hope there'll be an apology sharpish.

I was in Paris last Saturday. I was also at Hillsborough. Today I told Parliament if it was not for the magnificent efforts of Liverpool fans in Paris, we could have had another disaster. Shamefully the smears & lies by the authorities were straight from the Hillsborough playbook

We saw zero evidence that "up to 40,000 Liverpool fans turned up without tickets or with fake tickets" and zero evidence that "70% of Liverpool fans arrived with fake tickets". Simply not true.

Posting some clips from the BBC this morning for those interested. "Fans arrived early and they were treated like animals. This was an immense failure of safety management and crowd control. The French state completely failed in its duty of care to anyone who enters is country."

"As long as other football fans fail to show empathy and authority with people who suffer things like this, the more of an excuse it gives the authorities to continue to do it. It's going to happen again unless people are able to collectively say 'we're not having it anymore.'"
