@NotAvgLiberal No, I don’t think a rapist and a pedophile is the lesser of two evils. Trump is neither of those. Bill Clinton is at least a rapist. But that doesn’t seem to matter to liberals.

@xenovigor @garrettham_esq @RevBWarr In a nutshell, the position is that transubstantiation is where the bread and wine become the body and blood of Jesus. It still retains the accidents of bread and wine but is Jesus. This is why it’s a great insult to our Lord to call it juice and crackers.

can I ask what precisely you mean by the real presence? I've been reading stuff about Catholicism and can't figure out what people are quibbling about. do Catholics teach that the bread and the cup physically transform into flesh and blood every single time, only retaining the outward appearance of bread and wine? or that there is a spiritual real presence of the body and blood that is invoked, but the physical bread and wine are unchanged? growing up in Catholic PSR, I was not taught that they materially transform into physical flesh and blood. then, in highschool, people started telling me that's what Catholics actually believe. now I am finding like a 50/50 split

This is why I cannot believe the Holy Ghost leads Rome, the East, or their most ardent adherence. You can't lie (whether my omission or otherwise) this blazenly and claim to be in the true Church, led by the Spirit.
Garrett Ham@garrettham_esq

Most Protestants reject the Real Presence in the Eucharist as unbiblical. The Didache (~100 AD) teaches it. Ignatius (~110 AD) teaches it. Every Church Father who addressed it before the Reformation taught the same. They reject what the apostles' own students taught.

I think it’s disgusting the United States charges $100 per person visiting our country to enter a National Park. Embarrassing too!

Satan was the first to question the clarity of God’s Word: “Did God actually say?” The Roman Catholic Church does the same by saying God isn’t clear when He speaks.

If the Roman Catholic Church was a True Christian Church, that follows the teachings of Jesus Christ and preaches the truth of His gospel according to God-breathed scripture, then The Reformation would have never happened in the first place.

@ModernBoethius @Catholic_bro No there isn’t. There’s visibly more so but it’s just responses versus participation in prayer as the Church had defined it. I’m distracted from prayer in the NO mass because of the silly responses I’m required to do unless I want to be seen as a bad Catholic.

@___mithrandir_ @OscarRe83504927 The post is dubious at best. We don't know the context like if they wanted a private baptism or a celebration afterwards and are just complaining. Most parishes will ask for a donation but it is never required.

@___mithrandir_ @OscarRe83504927 None of the parishes I've been to charge either. But don't think that it doesn't happen anywhere else. It's called sin for a reason. Sinful people exist everywhere. There's just a magnifying glass on Catholicism while others get swept under the rug.

The RCC claims that the only way of salvation is through the Catholic church. You don't have to be a Bible scholar to know that this is a lie from the depths of hell! No man, church or denomination can save us ONLY Jesus can! Martin Luther had it right. ~Ephesians 2:8~

@b1lld0zer @TestAllThings_ @trad_layman @DucreauxJoseph @MrCasey62 Paul did not rebuke Peter. Paul rebuked James, Cephas, John and Barnabas. x.com/Catholicdogma3…
John@Catholicdogma33

No Dale, your reading, comprehension and critical thinking skills are very dull. Paul is talking about a small group of men (apostles) e.g. "THEY" and "THEM" are the same persons. He is talking about James, Cephas, John who separated themselves from eating with the gentiles and also caused Barnabas to do the same thing! Regarding Paul mentioning Peter, he was simply stating that God gave Paul the mission to the gentiles and God gave Peter, the mission to the jews. Peter was not there at all but only being spoken of!!! The whole time, Paul was talking about and telling the story of what THEY, THEM (James, Cephas, John) were doing. Here is the title of Galatians chapter 2. Title. "The apostle's preaching was approved of (BY THE OTHER APOSTLES). The Gentiles were not to be constrained to the observance of the law." Here is Chapter 2 in the proper context of ALL persons being spoken about. 👇👇👇👇👇 Galatians 2:6-14 But of THEM (James, Cephas, John) who seemed to be some thing, what they were some time, it is nothing to me, God accepteth not the person of man, for to me THEY (James, Cephas, John) that seemed to be some thing added nothing. But contrariwise, when THEY (James, Cephas, John) had seen that to me was committed the gospel of the uncircumcision, as to (Peter) was that of the circumcision.  (For he who wrought in (Peter) to the apostleship of the circumcision, wrought in me also among the Gentiles.)  And when (THEY) had known the grace that was given to me, (James and Cephas and John), who seemed to be pillars, gave to me and Barnabas the right hands of fellowship: that we should go unto the Gentiles, and THEY (James, Cephas, John) unto the circumcision: Only that we should be mindful of the poor: which same thing also I was careful to do. But when (CEPHAS) was come to Antioch, I withstood him to the face, because he was to be blamed. For before that some came from James, he did eat with the Gentiles: but when THEY (James, Cephas, John) were come, CEPHAS withdrew and separated himself, fearing them who were of the circumcision. And to his dissimulation the rest of the Jews consented, so that (Barnabas) also was led by THEM (James, Cephas, John) into that dissimulation. But when I saw that THEY (James, Cephas, John, Barnabas) walked not uprightly unto the truth of the gospel, I said to CEPHAS before them ALL (James, Cephas, John and Barnabas): If thou, being a Jew, livest after the manner of the Gentiles, and not as the Jews do, how dost THOU (James, Cephas, John) compel the Gentiles to live (as do the Jews)? We by nature are Jews, and not of the Gentiles sinners. endtimes.video/galatians-2-pa…

The Bible is not now, nor has it ever been, their highest authority. Their own personal interpretation of the Bible is their highest authority. For them, it has ALWAYS been “Sola My Opinion”.
