🙏 A Thank You to the Mentors Who Changed My Trading Journey Looking at my portfolio performance today, I know this wasn’t built by luck. It was built through years of studying, making mistakes, journaling, reviewing charts, and learning from some of the best traders in the world. A sincere thank you to: 🔹 @mwebster1971 🔹 @PradeepBonde 🔹 @markminervini 🔹 @DanZanger 🔹 @Qullamaggie What makes these mentors special is not just their success, but their willingness to share what they have learned. They could have kept their knowledge to themselves. Instead, they chose to teach and share their experiences, helping shape the journeys of thousands of traders they may never personally meet—including mine. Thanks to @RichardMoglen for bringing many of the world’s best traders together to openly share their knowledge, experiences, and lessons with the trading community. 📚 Books were my true friends during the toughest phases of my trading journey. When confidence was low and results weren’t there yet, I kept turning pages instead of giving up. Many of the lessons that shaped my trading came from books long before they showed up in my P&L. ❤️ Most importantly, thank you to my wife. Through the wins, losses, frustrations, and countless hours spent studying charts, she never stopped believing in me. She has been the backbone of this journey and my biggest supporter from day one. 📈 A 111%+ annual return isn’t the finish line—it’s simply proof that consistent learning, discipline, patience, and execution matter. Study. Read. Journal. Improve. The market rewards those who consistently put in the work. Thank you, mentors. Thank you, books. Thank you, family. 🙏🚀📊

This market has been a chopfest. It has punished both late longs and impatient shorts. In environments like this, capital preservation is a strategy—not a weakness. A few reminders heading into the weekend: 📚 Study more than you trade. Every chart you review improves your pattern recognition. 🎯 Don’t force trades. The market will always give another opportunity. 🚫 Don’t become a “buy every dip” investor. As Mark Minervini has said over the years, buying every dip only works… until it doesn’t. 🛑 Believe in your stops, not your stocks. Hope is not a trading strategy. 💰 Cash is a position. There is no shame in waiting while the market finds direction. 🧠 Focus on process, not P&L. Great traders survive the difficult markets so they’re ready when the easy markets return. $SPY $QQQ $IWM $TSLA $GOOGL $INTC $SPCX

$QQQ 👀 686.37 is the level I’m watching. Bears are in control as long as price remains: ❌ Below the 10MA ❌ Below the 21MA ❌ Below the 50MA Lose 686.37, and the odds increase for another leg lower. Any bounce back into the 10/21/50MAs that gets rejected would strengthen the bearish thesis. Resistance until proven otherwise. Price first. 👊📊 $SPY $QQQ $IWM $TSLA $GOOGL

$NVDA My short thesis isn’t based on today’s red candle. It’s based on a failed reclaim. 📈 Rally into 214 🪤 Trap late buyers ❌ Reject the 50MA 📉 Lose the 10/21MAs 🎯 Then let price confirm the downside. The best shorts often begin with a failed bounce, not an obvious breakdown. 👊📊 $SPY $QQQ $IWM $TSLA $GOOGL $SPCX

The only off-ramp for President Trump to get out of the Iran conflict at this juncture is simply to declare objectives complete, and leave the region. Oil would dump, and markets would rip, if we simply got the headline: "U.S. NAVY DEPARTS PERSIAN GULF -- MISSION ACCOMPLISHED"

$TSM 👀 Watching the 10/21/50MA closely. The setup I’m watching: 📈 Brief reclaim of the 50MA 🪤 Trap 50MA buyers ❌ Lose the 10/21MAs again 📉 Complete the right shoulder 🎯 Neckline becomes the next key test Not every 50MA reclaim is bullish. Sometimes it’s just a fakeout before the next leg lower. Patience. Let the setup come to you—don’t anticipate. 👊📊 $SPY $QQQ $IWM $NVDA $AVGO $TSLA $GOOGL $NOW

Closed $TWLO today for +38.3%. 📉 This wasn’t a random short. Shared the setup with the Discord community as it developed: ❌ Lost the 10/21/50 MAs 🚫 $200 psychological resistance 📉 21/50 MA rejection 📐 Trendline rejection 🌧️ Weak IGV backdrop One signal can fail. Multiple signals aligned create higher-probability trades. Trade the process. The profits will follow. 👊📊 $SPY $QQQ $IWM $IGV $NOW $TWLO $TSLA $GOOGL $SPCX

I have a “closed positions” channel in my Discord where I show positions (with the original thesis & date of alert) that I owned at one time, but closed due to any variety of reasons (shaken out, thesis broke, margin or leverage management etc.). Many times, these stocks end up ripping or reversing after I close them. For other less transparent traders, who share ideas but don’t share execution, they would celebrate these ideas anyway. “Hey look, remember this stock I shared months ago, look where it is now!”. In my case, the missed opportunities are plain to see. I can only own the performance of the stocks that I actually keep. Making such mistakes is part of the game, and demonstrates how difficult markets are. Having good ideas is easy. Executing on them is hard.

TRUTH: Most of the people who share charts or tickers without execution context (weighting, entries, exits, trims & cost basis), are either: A) not even buying B) getting shaken out at the first sign of volatility C) selling way before the real move D) sizing insignificantly
Stock Talk@stocktalkweekly

Sharing a portfolio with full transparency in front of thousands of people is always tricky. Whether you buy too early, or sell too early, or manage risk just before a bounce, or hold through a steep drawdown, you get criticized by people who think they could've done better. The higher the degree of transparency, the greater the expectation of perfection on every tick. But perfection isn't what the game is about. The game is about protecting capital & preserving the equity curve. Seeking material outperformance, while also living to fight another day. In spite of all this added pressure, I personally much prefer doing it the transparent way, as opposed to the "beat around the bush" bullshit that 99% of traders on this platform do. It's very, very simple to share hundreds of stock ideas and/or charts that might work, while excluding the execution component. That way, whether or not your ideas pan out, you can just quote tweet the winners, and ignore the losers. I find that distasteful and lame. If you want true perspective on the nitty gritty ins & outs of portfolio management (which is truly all that matters when it comes to performance) then follow/subscribe to the people who share it all. If instead, you just want to be entertained and read novels, then follow the people who tell you what they find interesting, without telling you how they're managing those positions personally. I'll stick to the former, and continue to ignore the latter.

$ZM (2020) vs $DELL (2026) Every bull market creates a new set of leaders. If you only study today’s charts, you’ll miss half the lesson. Two legendary traders. Two different journeys. One powerful lesson. @PradeepBonde : “I studied 40,000 charts when I started.” @Qullamaggie : “I spent 60–80 hours a week for nearly a decade learning to trade.” Success in trading isn’t built on talent alone. It’s built on hard work, repetition, discipline, and countless hours of deliberate practice. There are no shortcuts. The market rewards those who are willing to outwork everyone else. Rest, recharge, and keep building your edge. $SPY $QQQ $IWM @jackschwager @gfc4

$DELL $AMD 📉 A lot of 10/21 MA buyers are getting smoked right now. Buying every touch works… until it doesn’t. When leaders start slicing through the 10/21MA with heavy volume, it’s a sign that institutional demand is fading. Don’t blindly buy dips or every pullback to MAs. In a choppy market, those same pullbacks become traps. Protect capital. Cash is a position. 🙏 $DELL $NVDA $SMH $SOXL $QQQ $SPCX $AMD

HORMUZ TRAFFIC HITS 3-WEEK LOW Confirmed crossings via the Strait of Hormuz dropped to a 3-week low on 16 July, with just 8 recorded, according to Kpler. For the fourth consecutive day, traffic remained heavily concentrated on the Iranian route, which accounted for 7 of the 8 confirmed transits. $SPY $QQQ $OIL $XLE $ERX
