@trafficchd @Vkaushal_in The traffic situation around the railway station is a mess and @ssptfcchd is very well aware of it. People queuing outside to save on parking tickets, illegal parking by cabs, and narrow drop-and-go lanes. All these need your attention.

My black Honda Activa 3G (Reg. No. CH01BN9046) was stolen from outside the General Post Office, Sector 17, Chandigarh between 9:44 AM and 10:20 AM. What is even more alarming is that this theft happened in the middle of Chandigarh’s so called “high security” administrative zone, surrounded by some of the most important government and law enforcement offices in the city, including: • Chandigarh Police Command & Control Centre • Police Station Sector 17 Chandigarh • Director General of Police Punjab Home Guard Headquarters • Enforcement Directorate (ED) • Deputy Commissioner Chandigarh Office • District Magistrate & Collector Office • Sub Divisional Magistrate (Central), Chandigarh • Municipal Corporation Chandigarh • Central Treasury Office • Commissioner Office Excise & Taxation, Chandigarh/Punjab • Excise & Taxation Department Chandigarh • Reserve Bank of India (RBI) • Employees Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) • Central Administrative Tribunal Bench • Registrar Cooperative Societies, Punjab • Registrar of Firms & Societies • Department of Social Welfare, UT Chandigarh • PWD B&R Punjab Office • FSSAI Branch • Aadhaar PEC • General Post Office, Sector 17 Chandigarh Chandigarh is promoted as one of the safest and most well-surveilled cities in India, with CCTV cameras installed at almost every roundabout, traffic light, and major junction. Yet, a vehicle was stolen from the heart of Sector 17 — right in front of the General Post Office and could not be traced even after a complaint was registered within 1 hour through 112. If thefts can happen so easily in the middle of Chandigarh’s administrative and police hub, then the common public has every right to question the effectiveness of the city’s surveillance and security systems. This is not just about one stolen scooter anymore it raises serious concerns about public safety, monitoring, and accountability in Chandigarh. Requesting the concerned authorities to urgently review all CCTV footage from Sector 17 and surrounding routes and take immediate action. @trafficchd @ChdPol @DgpChdPolice @ssyips @ssputchandigarh @ssputchandigarh @abinandhan_cop @Man_sheoran2015 @lakshay_cop @ChandigarhSmart
