All India Bank Officers' Confederation (AIBOC)
A rested workforce serves the public better. With staff shortages and rising stress, 5-day banking is a service-quality issue, not a “perk.” UFBU has pursued this since 2015; IBA has recommended it to the Government (MoU 07-12-2023), and it’s included in the 12th Bipartite/9th Joint Note (08-03-2024), pending clearances. Let’s finish what’s already agreed. #Implement5DayBanking @FinMinIndia @DFS_India @PMOIndia @ChiefIba

Bank services are available 7 Days, round the clock. Bankers Are Human. The government should implement the 5-day work week for Bank employees now. Indian banking today stands on firm ground. Record profits, technological leadership, uninterrupted public service, and global credibility. This strength has been built by hard working bank employees who have delivered through crises, reforms, mergers, pandemics, and ever-increasing regulatory and compliance demands. When performance is proven, this is the moment to translate contribution into reform. A 5-day work week in banking is not a concession. It is a rational, humane, and long-pending reform already implemented across Government of India offices, RBI, regulators, and most financial institutions, both in India and globally. Service availability does not require the same employees to work continuously. Railways, airports, hospitals, power utilities, telecom, and IT services operate 24×7, yet their staff work on shift-based, regulated 5-day frameworks. Banking is no exception. In fact, Banking services are available 7 days a week, with digital banking, UPI, ATMs, centralized processing, BC networks, and call centres, customer access is already round the clock. Branch-level staffing can easily be managed through rotation, staggered schedules, and technology-enabled deployment, without reducing service quality or accessibility. Ironically, many government and non-government offices with far less digital alternatives for service delivery already follow a 5-day week. If departments without continuous service needs can adopt humane work practices, there is no logical justification to deny the same to bankers who shoulder systemic risk, financial inclusion, credit growth, cyber security, and public trust. A 5-day work week: •Does not reduce banking availability •Does not harm productivity •Does not inconvenience customers •Does enhance efficiency, morale, and mental well-being A rested workforce is a productive workforce. Sustainable institutions are built on sustainable work practices. The sun is shining on Indian Banking today. To delay this reform despite proven performance would be injustice. This is the time to convert strength into policy, performance into recognition, and contribution into justice. 20 lakh+ Bank employees and their families urge the @FinMinIndia to implement the 5-day work week in Banking now. #BankReforms #5DayWorkWeek

@MC_Panchkula Why lights are always switched off of Big Park sector 21 in front of H no. 995/21? Is it our fault that we get time for evening walk after 7 pm and we are forced to walk in severe dark conditions without lights? As a resident, we expect a good coordination frm you.

The loss of a loved one leaves an irreplaceable void, but during these difficult times, the support and compassion of the community are invaluable. BSF and SBI have made arrangements to provide rightful compensation to the families of BSF personnel who have been "Killed in Action." On 15th May 2025, the SBI Gadkha branch team visited the home of Late SI Md Imteyaz, met his family, and completed all necessary formalities. Today, we are proud to share that a claim of ₹1.1 crore has been approved for the family. Prahari Parivaar sincerely thanks the @TheOfficialSBI team for their swift and compassionate action during this challenging time. #JaiHind #जीवनपर्यन्तकर्त्तव्य

This is @airindia breakfast menu card for Business class. Excellent offerings, thanks. Had to take the attendant's help to decode the South Indian option. Actually it's Upma, Vada and Idli. Simple thing made so complicated. Wonder, why r we ashamed of writing the Indian names 🤔
