I do not overlook the significance to our current generation of Miss Israel (Noa Cochva, center) casually embracing and acknowledging Christian Jews / Jews who believe in Yeshua (Talia Silver, camera left) as full and normal members of the Jewish people. Three hundred years ago, if a Jew accepted Christ, that person would have had to physically leave the walled ghetto where their Jewish brothers and sisters were confined and that Jewish believer in Christ would no longer have been able to interact with and participate within the broader Jewish community. Within a generation or two, the descendants of that Jewish believer in Yeshua would no longer remember their own identities as descendants of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and Judah. Out of this came the wicked and pervasive falsehood, lodged in many minds, that accepting Christ means abandoning the Jewish people and handing victory to the demonic forces that seek to destroy us. In the year 2026, that is not so. It has never been possible for a Jew to stop being a descendant of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and Judah. But moreover, many Jews have returned to their physical homeland of Israel, which inherently provides security in one’s identity as a Jew. There can be no fear that an Israeli Jew will forget their Jewish identity, just as there can be no fear that a Japanese individual in Japan will forget their wonderful identity as someone who is of Japan. As it was foretold: “They [the Jews] will fall by the edge of the sword and be led away captive into all the nations. Jerusalem will be trampled by the Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled.” — Luke 21:24 bible.com/bible/314/LUK.… It is 2026, and the Jewish people are no longer held captive into all the nations. It is 2026, and Jerusalem is in the hands of the Jews.

Ever since I got saved, I've been deeply passionate about the Jewish people. There's never been any inclination I'm of any Jewish lineage. I did a search of my family surnames on both sides. My mother's side, completely Gentile. However, on my father's side, strong possibility of Ashkenazi Jewish but we can only trace the actual line back 300 years before records show no more trace. Should I pursue this further or just leave it be?

brother wat 🤦‍♂️ 'All Scripture is inspired by God and useful for teaching, for reproof, for restoration, and for training in righteousness, ' 2 Timothy 3:16 The wisdom of God - the same God who both inspired this verse and who died at the cross for our sins and was resurrected - is infinitely beyond my own understanding but I am quite sure the verse you are sharing is absolutely not commanding us to kill random babies in 2026 (which I assume is what is being implied). My broader point is that Israel is not uniquely and abhorrently evil and Jews are not uniquely and abhorrently evil. Israel does bad things that they must absolutely be called out for and individual Jews do bad things that they must absolutely be called out for. The incorrectness of rabbinical Judaism needs to be shared for the sake of loving Jews who will otherwise go to Hell without the grace of God granting them faith. What I see happening is people become so single mindedly obsessed with hating Jews and Israel (not necessarily your motivation here, but it absolutely exists in some people) that they start reinventing the Marcion heresy or arguing for hours that Jesus and St. Paul aren't Jews (someone literally argued this at me for an hour yesterday).

I see a lot of people criticizing Fr Josiah for going on this podcast, but I am asking you to first watch the episode before doing that. Fr Josiah gave important correction in a way that protestants can actually receive. This is not ecumenism. He’s teaching.

Jesus NEVER stopped being Jewish, And He NEVER called His Jewish followers to stop being Jewish either. He told His followers to place their faith in Him, and not to rely upon their works or salvation. Even in old age, the apostle Paul, and others ,still practiced their traditions of old, Not for the sake of salvation, but for the purpose of connection to their roots. The moment Christianity threw out of it's ancient Jewish roots was the moment it started taking on the pagan practices of Roman, This is why even in the church which came out of Jewish culture, and still to this day leans upon Jewish texts and worships the Jewish Messiah, there is so much Jew hatred.
